She quickly walked over and extended her hand to support Leyla, but suddenly, Leyla slapped her.
Leyla staggered and nearly fell when she slapped Gianna. Luckily, Bryan caught her just in time. With Bryan’s support, Leyla continued to vent the anger she had accumulated over the years.
Eileen closed the bedroom door and approached Bryan. The two exchanged looks, both feeling resigned yet finding the situation somewhat amusing.
“Let my grandmother express her anger. It’s better for her health to let it out than to bottle it up as she ages,” Eileen said to Bryan.

Gianna appeared a bit embarrassed and said, “Mom, this is so unfair. Is it all Conroy’s fault? Haven’t my sister and Eileen done anything wrong? Eileen has been back for so long, hiding her identity just to lead us into making mistakes!”
“She was indeed wrong!” Leyla turned and looked at Eileen a little angrily. She raised her hand and gently patted Eileen on the arm.
“Why didn’t you tell me sooner that you’re this powerful? It’s lucky that I’m still alive now to learn about this!”
Eileen’s lips twitched as she said, “I just needed to find a practical method to let Mom return to our family’s ancestral tomb.”

“I’ll find a practical method for you tonight!” Leyla stared at Conroy and demanded.
“Conroy, will you marry Gianna or not? If not, I’ll find a place to bury you two alive!”
Her words sounded familiar, like how Gianna had just threatened Eileen.
Eileen frowned. Before she could say anything, Leyla turned and clarified.
“I’m not that cruel. I overheard them threatening you now. If they dare to do it, then I can do it too. What’s wrong with breaking the law? I’m old, and I’m not afraid of taking you two down with me!”
Eileen was left speechless. She sat down next to Bryan. She knew Leyla needed to personally resolve the issue tonight to vent her anger fully. Their role was merely to provide support.
“Mom, it’s so late. Can we talk about this tomorrow?” Gianna attempted to delay, hoping to devise a plan.
Leyla waved her hand dismissively and said, “Do you still want to play tricks? No way! In the past, I couldn’t handle you, but now, I have Eileen. You have no say in this matter anymore! Tonight, you only have two choices: one is to be buried alive, and the other is to get married tomorrow!”
If Conroy truly died now, he would be buried alongside Eileen’s mother. However, Leyla would be repulsed by that. That was why she felt compelled to force Conroy to marry Gianna now. In that case, the body of Eileen’s mother could be interred alone in the family’s ancestral tomb.
Seeing no alternative, Gianna clenched her fists and replied, “Okay, I will marry Conroy tomorrow!”
