“We’re the ones who did it. Dad, don’t blame us. You’re just too biased.”
Faced with his daughter’s accusations, Wayne replied calmly.
“You say I play favorites? Then go ahead–tell me exactly how I’ve shown favoritism. Do I need to say it?”
Johnathan’s aunt scoffed. “Anyone with eyes canseeit.He’s the only one allowed to stay here overnight. No one else is. We’ve all followed the house rules. Why does he get special treatment?”
Wayne responded without blinking.
“Because I am the head of the Wynn family. And he is the future head. Does that answersatisfyyou?”
Everyone knew that the heir to the Wynn family would always be mentored by the current familyhead.That tradition had been passed down for generations.
If that were the only issue, people might not have been so resentful.
