Gilbert enjoyed watching the drama unfold. He grinned at Halsey and said, “Damn, Elise seems to be coming for Shaun. I guess he’s into this type, huh? Do you think he might actually fall for her?”

Chelsea jumped and grabbed Elise by the shirt, pulling her down. “Get off!”
Elise screamed, falling to the floor.
Chelsea snapped, “How dare you try to seduce Shaun! You’re so shameless!”
Elise quickly played the victim. “I’m just a part-time dancer here. My dad gambles, and my mom died early, so I have to work to support my little sister, who’s still in school. I wanted to get Mr. Lane’s number because I’m hoping to intern or work at his company. I’m graduating soon and need a job. I don’t have any other intentions.”
