That evening, Shaun and Warren arrived at a private club to meet Kenneth Rogers and discuss a big project.

They entered a luxurious private room and got along well.

The deal went smoothly, and they signed the contract on the spot.

Kenneth smiled. “Now that the contract’s signed, how about some entertainment tonight?”

Shaun chuckled. “What kind of entertainment do you have in mind?”

Kenneth added, “I heard this club is full of beautiful women. How about we set up a card game and invite some ladies to join?”

For these company executives, entertainment often meant women. That was their idea of having fun.

Shaun smiled faintly. “I’ve had a little too much to drink, and I’m feeling a bit dizzy. How about Warren joining you instead?”

Shaun had never taken part in these kinds of activities. All he wanted tonight was to go home and be with Halsey and the baby.

Warren nodded eagerly. “I’ll join you, Mr. Rogers. Whatever game you want, I’ve got it covered. Shaun isn’t good at those things.”

Kenneth chuckled. “Looks like you’re not much for these outings, Mr. Lane.”

Shaun lifted his hand slightly, letting the light catch the diamond on his ring. “I’m married. My wife is pregnant.

I want to get home to be with her and our baby  Warren grinned.

“Shaun here is a great husband and father.

I’ll handle the entertainment.”

Kenneth approved. “Well, you’re truly a breath of fresh air, Mr. Lane! Alright, Warren, let’s go have some fun.”

He stood up.

Warren turned to Shaun. “I’ll get someone to bring some hangover soup for you.

Shaun had drunk quite a bit and did feel light–headed, the smell of alcohol still on him.

“Alright. Go with Mr. Rogers. I’ll manage here.”

Warren patted his chest.  Leave the entertainment to me. I know exactly what to do! Rest here.

The hangover soup will be here soon.”

Warren followed Kenneth out, leaving Shaun alone in the lavish room.

Shaun sank into the soft sofa and pressed his fingers to his tired forehead. The room was quiet, completely still.

Soon, a soft knock came at the door, followed by a sweet female voice. “Your hangover soup has arrived, sir.”

Shaun called out, “Come in.”

The door opened, and a woman in heels stepped inside. “Here you go. Drink while it’s still hot.”

Shaun leaned back on the sofa, not looking up. “Just put it there. You can leave after that.”

The woman placed the soup on the coffee table in front of him, but she didn’t immediately move to leave.

She looked at Shaun, dressed in a white shirt and black slacks.

Under the warm light and the luxurious, sparkling decor, he seemed even more commanding.

He was young, handsome, and a rising star in the business world. Every woman would be powerless against him.

And this woman was none other than Sierra.

Sierra had come again. She refused to accept defeat. She had found out Shaun would be here tonight and arrived early.

A man was most vulnerable when drunk.

Earlier, she had worked in the shadows. Tonight, she was going all in.

She circled the sofa and came up behind Shaun. “Do you have a headache, sir? I’ve learned some massaging techniques. Let me help you ease the pain.”

Sierra raised her hands, ready to massage Shaun’s temples.
