In the morning, Tang Yuchen woke up satisfied from his sleep, his hand subconsciously searching the place beside him, yet he could touch nothing.
He opened his bleary eyes and noticed that he was alone in the bed, not knowing where An Ruo had gone.
He sat up, the quilt sliding off him, revealing his sturdy, sexy chest.
Suddenly, there came a sound of turning from the door. He hurriedly looked over, thinking An Ruo was opening the door.
A little head peeked through the opened door, Kangkang tilted his head and looked at him, smiling and asking, “Dad, are you awake? I’m so hungry. Hurry up and make me something to eat. Don’t be lazy in bed.”
Tang Yuchen blinked and glanced at the clock by the bed, realizing it was already half-past ten in the morning.
He wanted to get up, but under the quilt, he was wearing nothing at all. He had to sit still and asked, “Kangkang, where’s your mom?”
The woman probably didn’t, out of shyness, run away early in the morning.
“Mom went to work. Dad, aren’t you going to work today?”
“Hmm, Dad’s resting today.”
“Dad, weren’t you sleeping with me last night? Why did you end up sleeping in Mom’s bed?” the little guy couldn’t help but voice his puzzlement from deep within.
“Didn’t your mom explain to you?”
“Mom told me to ask you.”
Tang Yuchen raised an eyebrow, smiling as he beckoned Kangkang over. The little guy walked up to him and he picked him up to sit beside him.
“Son, Dad has something very important to tell you. Listen carefully.”
Kangkang nodded seriously. “Hmm, I will listen carefully.”
Tang Yuchen whispered in front of him, “When Dad and Mom sleep together, they can give you a little sister. If you want a little sister or a little brother, we need to find a way for us to sleep together, understand?”
Kangkang’s eyes widened in surprise, joyfully asking, “Really? Can I really have a little brother and little sister?”
“Of course, Dad wouldn’t lie to you. You were also born because your mom and I slept together.”
“Then I need to tell Mom to only sleep with Dad!” That way, he could have a brother and a sister.
And since Mom loved him so much, she wouldn’t ignore his opinion.
Tang Yuchen shook his head. “You can’t just tell her directly, you should…”
“Achoo!” In the office, An Ruo couldn’t help but sneeze.
Wen Jing, carrying a cup of tea, entered and asked her concernedly, “Sister An, do you have a cold?”
An Ruo shook her head. “No.”
She stood up to take the tea she brewed, thanking her.
“If it’s not a cold, then someone is missing you,” Wen Jing leaned her hands on the desk, grinning.
An Ruo smiled back at her and took a sip of tea.
Wen Jing’s gaze fell on her computer screen and noticed that she was looking at a travel guide for Rome.
She asked her curiously, “Sister An, are you planning to travel to Rome?”
An Ruo nodded. “Yeah, I recently watched a movie about Rome, so I plan to go there.”
“Rome is wonderful, a paradise for artists. Once you go there, you will definitely find a lot of inspiration for your painting. When do you plan to go?”
“Perhaps in the near future,” An Ruo said with a light smile.
Going to Rome wasn’t just to unwind; it was also to escape from City J, broaden her horizons, and seek a different state of mind. Maybe on her journey, she could clarify a lot of things and perhaps understand what she truly wanted.
No matter what it was for, she had to make this trip.
