The surrounding students turned to look, all clearly disagreeing with Leander’s earlier comment. The fight hadn’t even started yet, so how could anyone predict the outcome? To them, Leander’s declaration that Victor and the martial arts club would lose was nothing but nonsense, earning him disdainful glances.
Yet, Leander remained calm, his expression unchanging. He turned his head slightly and said quietly, “What I say and do is my business. It has nothing to do with you, and I don’t need your commentary p>
He then let out a soft laugh. “I’m just sharing my opinion. If you disagree, you’re free to ignore it. Arguing with me is pointless p>
Leander had no interest in debating with someone like Jade, who was clearly blinded by her admiration for Victor.
“Hmph, is all that talk just to cover up how nervous you are?‘ Jade wasn’t about to back down, especially when someone dared to criticize the man she idolized. “If you’re so sure of yourself, why not make a bet with me p>
Her voice carried a mocking tone. “If Victor and his team lose, you can name your price- whatever I can do, I’ll agree to. But if they win, you’ll have to apologize for your words in front of the entire martial arts club. What do you say? Are you brave enough to take the bet p>
She was determined to confront Leander and make him eat his words.
Leander glanced at her and shook his head. “This bet doesn’t interest me at all. It’s not even a challenge p>
Hearing that, Jade scoffed and turned away, ignoring Leander entirely. The others around them sent Leander mocking looks, their disdain growing. He had talked tough, claiming Victor and the others would be crushed, but now he was backing down from a simple bet with a girl. To them, Leander was nothing more than a coward who talked big but couldn’t back it up.
Even Liam, standing beside him, shook his head in disappointment, thinking Leander’s refusal was a poor show of masculinity.
Leander, however, didn’t bother to explain. His gaze remained fixed on the ongoing preparations, his eyes as deep as the stars. What did these people know about his abilities? He was a Martial Sovereign, one of the few who stood at the pinnacle of martial arts. His insight into martial prowess was razor–sharp. While others might not be able to gauge the skill levels of both teams, Leander could tell at a glance the gap between them just by observing their muscle

Victor and his team were skilled, yes, but compared to the karate team, they were worlds apart.
Yvette Sitwell stood with her arms crossed, her expression cool. She wasn’t particularly interested in combat sports, but after what happened the day before, she decided to learn a few self–defense techniques. She also wanted to gauge how Leander’s martial skills measured up, which was why she had come to watch.
Victor was in the middle of his warm–up, throwing a combination of punches followed by three powerful sidekicks. Each move was sharp and full of force, drawing excited screams from the girls watching. Yvette couldn’t help but remember Leander’s effortless strength the day before at the cafe.
Beside her, Ginny’s eyes sparkled as she suddenly asked with a smile, “Yvette, who do you is stronger–Victor or Leander p>
Yvette was taken aback by the question and shook her head. She didn’t know the answer.

In the center of the gym, Victor and the rest of the martial arts club finished their warm–ups. Victor nodded at the captain of the karate team, Colton Price, who responded with a faint smirk of disdain, then motioned to one of his team members to step forward.
In response, Victor sent out a mid–level member of the martial arts club to represent their side.
The atmosphere in the gym grew more electric, buzzing with excitement. Both fighters bowed to each other and assumed their stances. The martial arts club member was the first to attack, sliding forward and launching a kick aimed at the karate fighter’s head. It was a clean move, well–timed and powerful–enough to knock an average person out for several seconds.
Wham!
Just as the crowd cheered for the martial artist’s move, the karate fighter acted. With a swift leap, he dodged the kick and countered with a lightning–fast front kick, hitting the martial artist squarely in the chest.
The martial artist let out a grunt and fell back, clutching his chest, unable to get up.
The gym fell silent, the crowd stunned. Their faith in the martial arts club was shaken. No one had expected their fighter to be taken out with just one kick.
Victor’s expression darkened. For the second round, he sent in Shiloh, while the same karate fighter from the first match stayed in the ring, ready for another fight.
Shiloh was on high alert, fully aware of the opponent’s strength after seeing that first kick. He knew he had to give it his all.

The karate fighter simply stepped back, easily dodging the attack. Shiloh quickly spun around, preparing for a spinning back kick, but before he could complete the move, the karate fighter struck. He sidestepped and delivered a precise sidekick, hitting Shiloh’s thigh.
Shiloh’s leg buckled as if hit by a sledgehammer. He lost his balance and crashed to the ground, dazed and completely unable to continue.
The entire gym was in shock. Even Yvette frowned, surprised by how easily their martial arts. club had been defeated.
“D*mn it!” Victor cursed under his breath as he watched his teammates lose back–to–back. Frustrated, he stepped forward to take matters into his own hands.
The girls in the gym erupted into cheers, rallying behind Victor with all their hopes pinned on him.
As Victor took his position, the karate fighter from the previous two rounds stepped back, allowing Colton to enter the ring. Colton curled his finger, beckoning Victor forward with a smirk.
“That jerk is taunting Victor!” a girl cried, outraged.
“Go, Victor! Show him who’s boss!” others shouted, cheering Victor on.
Victor’s expression hardened. In Colton’s eyes, he saw a blatant challenge, not the friendly competition they were supposed to have.
“So, he’s not taking this as just a sparring match, huh p>
Victor narrowed his gaze and focused. He was determined to take down Colton and show everyone the true strength of the martial arts club.
A few seconds later, Victor took a quick step forward, throwing a left jab toward Colton’s face. It was a probing punch, the real power behind it hidden in his right hand, ready for a heavy follow–up strike.
Colton easily dodged the jab with a slight tilt of his head. Victor’s heart leaped in excitement— he thought Colton had taken the bait. With all his strength, Victor unleashed a powerful right punch, aiming to knock Colton out in one hit.
But just as the punch flew forward, Colton smirked. In a split second, he stepped in and grabbed Victor’s wrist with lightning speed. Then, with his free arm, he slammed his elbow into Victor’s abdomen.
“Ugh!” Victor gasped as his stomach churned, dropping to one knee as he dry–heaved, barely

The gym fell completely silent. Everyone knew–it was over. Victor had lost. The martial arts club had been defeated. What they had all expected to be an exciting and evenly matched competition had ended in a one–sided defeat.
Leander watched it all with a cold smile, shaking his head. Jade, who had been so hostile toward him earlier, now stared in shock. “He actually hit the nail on the head?!” she muttered, incredulous.
Shock rippled through the crowd, and even Liam couldn’t stop glancing at Leander, wondering how he had predicted the outcome so accurately.
Victor remained on the ground, struggling to recover, while Colton stood tall and proud in the center of the gym, his gaze sweeping over the crowd, a mocking smile on his lips.
“I heard that Ravenridge Senior High’s martial arts club has won several awards and has a solid reputation. I brought my team here to see for ourselves, but I must say, I’m disappointed,” Colton announced, his voice dripping with arrogance. “The martial arts club here isn’t as strong as people say. Is there really no one in all of Ravenridge Senior High who can put up a fight? It seems that karate truly is the strongest martial art in the world p>
His arrogant words and the way he casually wagged his finger enraged the students of Ravenridge Senior High. They clenched their fists, their anger boiling.
Karate, the national sport of Yamora, had just humiliated their school’s martial arts club on their home turf. It was hard not to feel furious, but despite their anger, there was also a sense of helplessness. Even Victor, their best fighter, had been taken down by Colton with just one move. Who else in the entire school could stand a chance against him?
Is this how our martial arts club is going to be crushed by karate today? Yvette thought with a heavy sigh. Just as she was feeling disappointed, her eyes caught sight of a familiar figure standing in the corner.
“Leander p>
