Chapter 113
Chapter 113:
“Go get dressed, something casual. We’ll head out for dinner afterward,” I instructed.
“Ghazi, it’s been too much.
The trips… and now you’re spoiling me with another present.” I could hear the smile in his voice, and I couldn’t help but feel smug now that I had my boyfriend living with me and waiting for me when I returned from work.
“Nothing is too much for you, Remy. Look, I gotta go. I’ll see you in a bit.” I hung up, answering another incoming call, thinking it was Zal, who had said he’d follow up on an issue related to our latest shipment.
I frowned when I saw the number flashing on my phone, a number I never expected to see again.
“Ghazi p>
“Oscar, what happened?” I asked, knowing something serious must have occurred for him to call me.
“I… someone… pictures,” the panic in his voice was clear. I could imagine him already shaking, and it took everything in me to push away the flood of memories that threatened to overwhelm me. “Fuck… where are you? I’m on my way p>
“My apartment… I… you don’t have to come. You can send Zal. I just… I don’t know what to do p>
“Stay away from the windows, lock yourself in. I’ll call when I get there.” I ended the call and immediately made a second one to Remy.
“Hey, baby, I’m really sorry. But I have an emergency. I might be late. I’ll call you once I’m done.” I felt a sickening sense of guilt, but I shook my head and ended the call after Remy sweetly assured me that it was okay and that he was busy working on a new design. He did tell me to be safe before hanging up.
My mind raced with thoughts of all the possibilities that might be happening to Oscar. Why now?
“Zal, Oscar called. I’m on my way to his place. I need you to get a couple of guys to watch over Remy; he’s at mine. I don’t want them to spook him.
Tell me you still have surveillance at Oscar’s place p>

“Shit, okay, I’m sending two guys to yours. And no, I stopped placing our guys there a few days ago. But I’ll set up two at Oscar’s right now p>
“And see what you can find out about my uncles p>
“Of course, boss p>
I ended the call, got in my car, and drove straight to Oscar’s. I called him as soon as I was in the lobby, and within minutes, I was at his door.
“Hey,” he greeted me, letting me in and locking the door behind him.
“What happened?” I asked as soon as I saw the bruise on his neck.
“Oh… no, this…
This isn’t why I asked you to come here.” His cheeks flushed a shade of pink, and his hand instinctively moved to cover his neck.
Then, it dawned on me that this was his guy’s doing. Damn it. For original chapters go to.net
“Well, I didn’t know you liked it that rough,” I tried to joke, but he didn’t respond, and I instantly felt like a total jerk. “It’s all there. I don’t have gloves, though I doubt whoever is doing this left any prints p>
I nodded, trying to calm myself as I looked at the pictures. Jealousy flared up, but I buried it deep. I reminded myself that I was with Remy now, and it was crazy to feel jealous over my ex.
“Do you know when these pictures might have been taken p>
