But then he glanced at his companions and gathered some courage, straightening up.
“Mr. Ashcroft, you’re a big deal in Mornwick, but like I said, this is Listin. Don’t get too full of yourself. I’m standing with the Walsh family today. What can you do about it p>
“Yeah?” Leander said calmly, then suddenly struck with his palm.

A powerful force came down like a hammer. Oscar’s body shook, and he was sent flying into the wall, leaving a shallow dent behind.

The guests were stunned. Leander was under huge pressure, but he still struck without hesitation. It was like he didn’t take the Walsh family’s threats seriously at all.

Ryan’s face had gone dark.

“Fine. Since you’re so eager to act tough, I’ll show you the Walsh family’s real trump card! Melissa, go get Mr. Luca p>
He turned to his granddaughter Melissa, whose eyes were already full of anger.
Melissa gave Leander a long look, then quickly left. Everyone in the room held their breath, waiting to see just how scary this so–called trump card really was.
When Leander heard that, he stopped and smiled slightly. “Sure. If you’re calling for backup, I’ll wait until they all show up. I’ll take care of everyone in one go p>
Ryan snorted, clearly not taking him seriously. In his mind, Leander was just bluffing before the end.
In the Walsh family’s inner courtyard, Melissa knocked on the door of an old wooden house.
“Mr. Luca, Grandpa sent me to get you p>
“What is it?” came a cold voice from inside, like nothing really mattered to him.
“There’s a young man from Mornwick causing trouble in our house. He’s an internal martial artist and has already hurt a lot of people. Grandpa wants you to take care of it p>
A cold snort came from the room. “Your family’s really slipping. You can’t even handle a random punk? And now you need me p>
The door opened, and a middle–aged man with graying temples stood in front of Melissa.
She lowered her head right away, full of respect. This man had protected the Walsh family for decades. He was the reason they’d survived so many ups and downs.
“Lead the way p>
He waved his sleeve, and Melissa quickly walked ahead to guide him.
