“Gareth?” Leander’s eyes narrowed slightly as a flash of coldness passed through them.

“You know Gareth, Mr. Ashcroft? Does that mean you’re also from the Ashcroft family of Highcliffe?” Gale asked in astonishment upon noticing the change in Leander’s expression.
It suddenly clicked for him. Leander’s last name was Ashcroft, and his strength and talent were undeniable. In all of Astria, the only family with such remarkable talent and power that shared the Ashcroft name was the one from Highcliffe.
“I’m not part of the Ashcroft family, and I don’t know Gareth,” Leander replied and shook his head without hesitation.
Ever since Reginald had cast him out of the family and Gareth had destroyed his martial veins, he had severed all ties with the Ashcroft family. They were strangers to him now and not even worth a second thought.
Although Gareth was Leander’s biological father, he no longer existed in Leander’s world after everything he had done. Now, he was merely a stranger.
To be honest, Leander owed the creation of his unique martial art, “Devourer’s Ninefold Path,” to Gareth Ashcroft. Leander would never have reached his current level of mastery without him.
Gale breathed a sigh of relief.
With Gareth leading the way and Ethan emerging as a top talent. What other clan in Astria could compete with them if Leander also came from the family?
“North Dragon, South Shire, West Judie and East Morgan–Royce. That’s interesting!” Leander chuckled, and the corners of his mouth lifted slightly.
The martial world had never really disappeared from this realm. It had merely gone underground despite modern advancements in technology and hidden from the eyes of the ordinary populace, but it was still very much alive.
“Who among these four is the strongest?” he asked.
“Of course, it’s Gareth,” Gale answered with deep respect in his voice. “He defeated the six Martial Sovereigns from overseas ten years ago. This victory shook the world and caused warriors from both within and outside Astria to tremble at the news. Among the Four Extremes, Grayson, also known as ‘the Undefeated, once fought Gareth and lost by a narrow margin p>

Leander nodded slightly. He’d always known that Gareth was powerful. He had looked up to Gareth as a child and hoped to surpass him one day. He just hadn’t realized Gareth was this strong and towered a figure in Astria’s martial world.
He smirked subtly as confidence radiated from his eyes.
I will claim the title of “ the strongest ” from Gareth one day. I will rise above them and make them look up to me, even if they are powerful.
Leander casually pulled out a chair and sat down in the courtyard. Gale, Dylan, and the others didn’t dare leave. They all sat nearby, not wanting to offend him.
Leander noticed that Gale and Dylan seemed to know a lot about the current state of Astria’s martial world, so he asked, “The Four Extremes are the top martial artists as the old masters. Are there any other interesting figures aside from them p>
Dylan responded, “There are other martial sovereigns aside from the Four Extremes, but none stand out as much p>
“However, there are several rising stars in Astria’s martial world. These talents are the future of our martial arts community which is renowned as the “Twin Stars of Highcliffe and the Three Brilliants, Four Beauties p>
“Oh?” Leander’s interest was piqued. He was eighteen and already a Martial Sovereign. He was curious about the level of skill these new generation talents possessed.
Dylan continued, “The Three Brilliants are Kian from the Stonepeak Sect, Theo from the Skycrown Sect, and Edmond from Bladehold Temple. They’re all direct disciples of major sects, and their skills far surpass others their age.
“The Four Beauties are four remarkable women who not only possess great martial talent but are also known for their unparalleled beauty. Countless young martial artists are captivated by them.
“The Four Beauties are Claire from the Silvermoon Sect, Sylvia from the Stonepeak Sect, Emma from the Tri–Peak Sect, and Olivia from the Tarlyn Guild. As for the Twin Stars of Highcliffe, they are Ethan, who is the son of Gareth, and Daphne, who is the sole heiress of the Florian family.

Ivy’s eyes lit up with excitement as she listened. Though she was only starting to learn martial arts and had barely reached the level of an internal martial artist. She couldn’t help but dream of one day standing among these extraordinary figures and matching their brilliance.

As Dylan listed off the names of these well–known talents, Leander remained indifferent by showing little reaction. Only when Ethan and Daphne’s names were mentioned did his expression shift slightly.
“Are any of them martial sovereigns yet?” he asked.
Dylan and Gale exchanged glances before shaking their heads.
“They’re all still at the peak of Martial Grandmaster but just shy of becoming Martial Sovereign. Ethan is considered the strongest among them, with Daphne and Claire being the top females. But none have reached the level of a Sovereign yet despite their talents,” Dylan explained and then turned to Leander with admiration.
“Mr. Ashcroft, you are their peer in age and have already surpassed them. It will cause an uproar in Astria’s martial world if word of this gets out p>
Leander didn’t seem too concerned, but his thoughts did drift to Ethan and Daphne.
Back when Gareth had stripped Leander of his martial veins, those veins had been transplanted into Ethan. Ethan had risen to become one of Astria’s top martial talents over the past eight years, and Daphne wasn’t far behind and stood shoulder–to–shoulder with both Ethan and Claire.
Leander still didn’t think much of them even though these nine were at the pinnacle of Astria’s martial world.
Since I created ‘ Devourer’s Ninefold Path,‘ my perspective has expanded beyond my peers to look at the previous generations and the world. Even the ‘ Twin Stars of Highcliffe and the Three Brilliants, Four Beauties ‘ seem insignificant compared to me. My opponents are at least the likes of Gareth and Ethan.
“Mr. Halloway!” Leander suddenly looked up. His eyes were sharp as stars and fixed Gale with a steady gaze.
“I saved your father today, so you owe me a debt,” Leander said calmly.
Gale immediately stood up and bowed deeply. “Of course, we will answer your call without hesitation if you ever need anything p>
Leander nodded. “I’ll be returning to Ravenridge tomorrow. I trust you’ll remember what you promised today if I ever need your help in the future p>
Gale bowed again. His tone was filled with gratitude. “Mr. Ashcroft, we will never forget your kindness. We are always at your service p>
Leander turned and walked out the door with a faint smile. He left with ease and confidence.
