The hall was loud and chaotic, but Leander kept his eyes closed and did not move. It seemed like he did not fit into the environment at all. His distinct, solitary style made Yvette sigh and smile in self–mockery.
Yvette, what is wrong with you? There is no comparison between Leander and Colin. Why are you hesitating?
She shook her head and turned to look at Colin on stage, glowing with brilliance. She was certain that this was the man she was meant to be with. He was the one who could win her unwavering loyalty.
Colin briefly introduced himself on the stage before humbly excusing himself.
As he left the stage, he glanced at Leander, who still had his eyes closed, and a cold smile appeared on his lips.
Leander, the reason I came to Ravenridge Senior High’s anniversary celebration today is to show you that when it comes to knowledge, reputation, fame, wealth, background, and even talent, you are nothing compared to me. You are no more than a beast.
He sat next to Yvette, making the girls around them seethe with envy. They wished they could trade places with her.
Colin happily chatted with Yvette. In his mind, she was already his. Anyone who posed the slightest threat would be crushed. He wanted Yvette to see, through his actions and his achievements, that he was the strongest and that only he was worthy of being by her side.
After Colin and the principal left the stage, the evening officially began. Each class performed in turn, following the schedule, and the atmosphere became more and more lively.
Cheers echoed through the auditorium as one impressive performance after another took place on stage.
Madeline, wearing light makeup, sat beside Leander. When one of the skits was about to end, she stood up and smiled at him.

Leander smiled and nodded, giving her an OK hand gesture. “Good luck p>
The skit prepared by the second–year students ended with applause, and the auditorium fell
into darkness.

Leander opened his eyes and gazed at Madeline. In terms of vocal technique, aside from needing more experience and better control over the stage and her facial expressions, she had no major flaws.
He was now certain that Madeline had the potential to become a singer, not just any singer, but a world–renowned pop star.

As Madeline’s final tearful note fell, the song ended, and the students erupted into thunderous applause, loudly calling her name as the room buzzed with excitement.
Yvette and Ginny clapped with sincerity. They both knew how talented Madeline was at singing. Colin also clapped, smiling as he admired Madeline’s stunning figure with a hint of appreciation in his gaze.
If it were not for Madeline’s lowly background, he might have pursued her.

After coming off the stage, Madeline ignored Victor, who had been about to congratulate her, and excitedly ran to Leander.

Yvette, dressed in a light purple evening gown, sat beside the piano. Her slender fingers hovered over the keys, and the graceful sound of the piano filled the hall.
