“If he hadn’t been killed by those evil drug lords, I wouldn’t have married your father!
“He was poor and useless. He didn’t have other good qualities except for being honest and kind-hearted.”
“Was he a police officer?” Sienna asked nervously.
Shelly secretly wiped her tears again. She choked up, “No, he wasn’t. His father was an anti-drug officer. His father made a major drug bust and received great acclaim. But a week later, his entire family was killed.
