Someone was already waiting to receive him.
Eaton had just returned from abroad.
Work had kept him busy lately, and he’d barely spent any time in the country.
He was already aware of the news about Patricia.

As Jarrod stepped through the foyer, Eaton studied him up and down- impeccable poise, strikingly handsome. He had heard of Patricia’s interest in Jarrod, but, unfortunately…
His daughter was clearly no match for the man now standing before him.
“Mr. Silverstein, please, have a seat.” Eaton signaled for coffee to be brought in.
Jarrod nodded politely and sat down.
He had barely settled in when Watts arrived.
The moment Watts saw Jarrod already there, his expression shifted-Jarrod had come straight to his father’s door! That was… ruthless.
Eldrion Global was already feeling the fallout.
If it weren’t for Jarrod’s moves, Eldrion Global would never have faced such a scandal.
“In such a hurry. Is there something urgent?” Eaton glanced at Watts and gestured for him to sit down.
Watts forced a thin smile. “Not really-just wondering what brings you here today, Mr. Silverstein?”
Jarrod lifted his cup and inhaled the steam. “I’d like us to be frank with each other. I’m here because of Miss Aldridge.”
At that, a sharp glint flashed in Eaton’s eyes.
He realized instantly that this was no simple matter.
Jarrod set down his cup, his tone calm and deliberate. “You may recall I
mentioned previously how your daughter’s actions have affected me and my wife.
I had hoped things could end there. But Miss Aldridge broke the law and targeted my wife. Because of her, my wife lost our first child.”
Eaton’s gaze turned cold and hard.
“Is that true?”
“You shouldn’t be asking me what kind of person Miss Aldridge is,” Jarrod replied evenly. “I imagine you’ve heard enough over the years.”
Eaton’s face darkened further.
He knew a bit. After his divorce years ago, both children had stayed with their mother, and he’d been too busy to be present in their lives.
He barely saw them twice a year he could count the meetings on one hand.
He never imagined things would spiral this far.
Patricia’s lips pressed into a thin, tense line.
Jarrod was being brutally direct-laying everything out on the table.
Jarrod knew Eaton’s reputation: decisive, but not unscrupulous..
There was no point in dancing
around the issue; it was better to be straightforward.
Eaton looked at Jarrod. Smart men didn’t need things spelled out—especially now, with Patricia’s scandal threatening to pull him in and Eldrion Global suffering major repercussions. If not for Jarrod, Watts might have been able to cover everything up.
This was no longer just about Eldrion Global or Patricia.
Now it involved him, too.

He was here to negotiate.
He was here to force a choice.
“What exactly are you proposing, Mr. Silverstein? Go ahead, I’m listening.” Eaton’s voice dropped low.
Jarrod’s expression didn’t
change-histone was measured, but left no room for discussion. “It can be kept quiet. Miss Aldridge may have lost her way, but she is still your daughter. Sometimes, sparing a child is as good as destroying them. I believe the best course is for Miss Aldridge to spend three years in rehab. When her time is up, she leaves Eldermere for good, never to return. What do you think?”
A chill flashed in Watts’ eyes. “Jarrod, do you know who she is? Three years in rehab?”
That was as good as destroying Patricia.
