Zola felt a pang of unease as she followed the two men, known for their ruthless efficiency, into a hotel room. Despite her reservations, she composed herself and sat under their watchful gaze. Although their presence was threatening, they remained professional, urging her to get to the point.
Meanwhile, Eileen, deciding it was time to end the video call, said, “Bad signal, I have to hang up now,” using the typical excuse. She headed for the restroom, having spotted Watts and Wright walking in that direction. Her plan was to intercept them.
Raymond, a few steps behind, kept a vigilant eye on her from a discrete distance.
Watts and Wright left the restroom quietly, freshened up, and started walking side by side. As they passed, they noticed Eileen leaning casually against the wall. She was dressed in an elegant yet modest knee-length dress, her hair styled in a half-bun, exuding both grace and intelligence.
She greeted them with a warm smile and a nod.
“Gentlemen, my name is Eileen, and I serve as the General Manager of the Freguson Group.”
“It’s a pleasure to meet you,” Watts responded with a polite smile and a firm handshake. He conducted himself with an elegance that even Brandon’s presence couldn’t diminish.
Wright also exchanged greetings, though his smile carried a hint of bitterness.
“Politics and business should remain separate, don’t you think? It seems bold of you to attend Brandon’s event so openly.”
Eileen wasted no time, aware that Raymond might not be able to fend off others for much longer.
“Let’s avoid that topic for now. We’re facing certain limitations and can’t discuss much in this setting.” Watts signaled that it was time to leave.
Wright stayed close behind as they started to walk away.
“Trust me, and I might be able to help you,” Eileen said, speaking up as they passed her.
They stopped and turned back to face her.
Eileen continued, “You might fear Brandon, but I don’t. Let me handle the threat he poses. Think of it as settling a personal score.”
She knew she had to be direct if she wanted to make an impact.
Her straightforward approach left the two men with no room to dodge the issue.
“There’s no need to answer right now. Take my card and call me when you’re ready to talk.”
She handed them her business card and then politely excused herself. After discreetly signaling to Raymond, who was stationed at the end of the hallway, she turned and left.
