The thought of their separation over the past three months, and all the emotions she had bottled up, left Eileen without hesitation. She yearned to rush into his arms and weep uncontrollably.
However, her legs felt incredibly heavy, making each step feel like an enormous effort.
Eventually, she stopped, tears streaming down her face, and whispered, “Bryan, I’ve finally found you. I’m here to take you home.”
