After filling the shopping cart to the brim, Bryan asked Eileen to escort the delivery person to the car. He mentioned he needed to pick up a seasoning he had forgotten.
However, when Eileen returned to the car and waited for a bit, she saw Bryan approaching with two large bags of snacks. The bags weren’t too heavy, so he carried them himself. They were so full that they bulged with an abundance of snacks.
“Are you satisfied?” Bryan asked, lifting the two bags, his gaze filled with affection.

She tried to get out of the car, but Bryan stopped her by blocking the car door from opening.

“Kian Warren?” The mention of this name, which had been absent from Eileen’s life for so long, made her heart race with unease.
Jarred nodded and explained, though he wasn’t sure what Mr. Warren discussed with Bryan’s grandmother. Since his departure, she had been troubled and hadn’t slept well through the night.

As soon as Stella saw them coming, her troubled expression vanished. She greeted them with a smile and invited them to sit down.
“How are the preparations for the wedding tomorrow going?” she asked.
The moment Eileen took her seat, Stella reached out, gently patting the back of her hand.
Such gestures of familiarity were not new, but had Jarred not mentioned anything, Eileen might not have suddenly felt a sense of aversion toward Stella, who now seemed to have an ulterior motive.

“All the arrangements are in place,” she replied.
“So, who have you invited?” Stella inquired further.
“Other than Josue and his mother, Jacob and his wife, the guest list only includes you and Eileen’s family,” Bryan answered succinctly.
