Gianna hurried over, her eyes darting between Eileen and Leyla. With a warm smile, she exclaimed, “In the blink of an eye, you two disappeared! Why venture out on such a chilly day? Why didn’t you talk to Eileen in the room?”

Indeed, the cold was biting. Clad in a thick down jacket, Eileen had been feeling cold since she rose from bed in the morning. Now, her cheeks were tinged with pink from the brisk morning wind, and her hands were slightly numb.

“Aunt Gianna, what company does my father work for? Are he and Kinsey in the same company?” Eileen asked, attempting to glean some information from Gianna.
Gianna paused her tidying of Leyla’s quilt and responded promptly, “He works for a large company in Alvenon.”
Upon hearing this, Leyla shot a quick glance at Eileen.
“And what’s his monthly salary? If it’s too low, can he really afford to support us? The mansion we live in isn’t small. It must be quite valuable. If it were sold, none of you would need to work this hard,” Eileen said.
The moment Eileen finished speaking, Gianna stopped what she was doing and turned to stare intently at her.
