Maximo’s wife responded with a burst of mocking laughter, her hand clamped over her mouth, unable to contain her amusement.
“The VQ Group indeed belongs to the Vazquez family,” she sneered. “But do you have anything to do with the Vazquez family? Who do you think you are, talking to me with that attitude?”
The more she talked, the cockier she got.
“Do you think returning now means you own the Vazquez family fortune? You’re too naive. Thinking you could.”
Before she could finish, Eileen grabbed her neck and shoved her down, face-first into the ground.
Something warm oozed from Maximo’s wife’s face.
“You don’t get to act like that around me,” Eileen said.
“Don’t worry about how I’ll manage. Just remember, I’m the head of the Vazquez family. And even though I’m younger than you, I hold more power than you in this family.”
Eileen let go, and Maximo’s wife crumpled to the ground, moaning from the pain.
Before she could react, Eileen threw the invitation to the ground, hopped into the car, and sped away.
A blast of exhaust fumes hit Maximo’s wife in the face, causing her to gag. Ignoring the invitation, she scrambled to her feet and rushed inside the house, calling Maximo while washing her face.
“I’ve never met anyone so damn rude! Maximo, if you don’t do something about this, I’ll leave you!” she yelled into the phone.

Maximo’s voice crackled with irritation. “Why are you taking her seriously? Conroy’s marrying Gianna. They’ll be running the Vazquez family soon. Conroy is bound to give me a promotion. Then, even Leyla will have to kiss my ass!”
“Wait, what?” Maximo’s wife paused, water dripping from her face. “Are you saying it’s a good thing Conroy and Gianna are getting married?”
Maximo replied without hesitation, “Of course! Conroy must have gotten Leyla wrapped around his finger. Conroy marrying Gianna will be a disgrace to the Vazquez family. Plus, Gianna is a real Vazquez family member, and she’s already had a kid with Conroy, living off the Vazquez family fortune. If that gets out, Leyla and Eileen will be furious! They’re making a huge mistake. They’ll regret this, but they won’t be able to do anything about it. They’ll be dependent on Conroy and Gianna…”
Maximo’s wife’s face split into a wicked grin. “The wedding will be held three days later. I’ll handle things in three days. I’ll definitely teach Eileen and Leyla a lesson at the wedding!”
Two drops of Maximo’s wife’s blood had fallen on Eileen’s hand earlier. Even though Eileen had wiped it on her clothes, she still felt uncomfortable. The stench grew unbearable during the drive. The moment she stepped out of the car, Eileen clamped a hand over her nose and sprinted to the lawn, gagging.
Her stomach heaved, but nothing came up. After a quick tap, she quickly washed her hands, the foul odor lessening.
She then looked up to find two pairs of eyes fixed on her.
