“Whoa, I didn’t say that. If VQ Group’s broke, just say so. We’re a couple, we don’t need to be formal about money. How about some other forms of compensation?”
“Like what?” Eileen’s eyes sparkled mischievously.
“I’ll give you a kiss for every hundred dollars. I’ll kiss you until it’s enough to cover your salary of one million. Sounds good?”
That would be too many kisses.
She continued, “Or… how about sex? Same price as before, half a million for a night?” Her hand trailed down his shoulder, undoing a couple of buttons on his shirt. She was teasing him. She wouldn’t stop until he promised to give up his salary here.
Bryan leaned back in his chair, enjoying the situation. It wasn’t often she took the lead like this.
Just as Eileen was about to unbutton a few more buttons for him, the door was suddenly pushed open.
Jessica stormed in, her face red with anger. She froze for a second, taking in the scene, then yelled,
“Eileen, you have no shame! You came back from Onaland just to steal the Vazquez family fortune! You threw my parents out of the family and the company! You’ve gone too far!”
The smile vanished from Bryan’s eyes, replaced by a cold stare.
“Haven’t your parents embarrassed themselves enough?” Eileen said, pulling away from Bryan.
“Now you’re here to cause more trouble?”

Suddenly, a swarm of people with cameras rushed into the office. They were all reporters.
It was the end of the workday, and the security guards were changing shifts. Jessica had seized the opportunity to sneak them in.
The cameras flashed, capturing Eileen and Bryan. Bryan’s expression was dark, but the reporters didn’t care.
