As soon as I’m at Carmella’s bedroom door, I don’t even have it in me to knock, so I just push it open and step inside.
She’son the bed and when she sees me, she runs to me and wraps her arms around me. I guess she’s doing much better but right now, I don’t give ashitaboutthat.
“Babe, you’re back, she says. “I’ve been trying to reach you.”
Her arms are so tightly wrapped around my waist like everything’s fine between us but right now, my blood’s boiling.
“You won’t believe what happened while youwereaway. Your mother was here and she was so mean to me. She ordered me. to leave this house butwhatshesaysdoesn’t matter as long as you’re in charge. You’re the only one who can decide
“Then go,” I say to her with no hesitation, clenching my fists to contain my anger.
“What?” she asks, her head shooting up.
I don’t ever want tolookat her right now, so I keep my eyes on the wall as I pull away from her embrace by removing her arms frommywaist
Just as I take a step back, she tries to take a few steps forward, but I can’t stand her being so close to me right now.

Even right now, I can’t believe how she’s stillsononchalant about all this. It makes my blood boil even more.

Poking my cheek, I take out my phone with my hands shaking in anger. I made sure to get the footage for myself. Once Iscrollto it, I play the first clip for her, holding up my phone in her face. It’s the one where she shoves Billy to the floor and expresses her disgust. As she watches it, she gasps and covers her mouth.

Once it’s done, she attempts to speak, but I hold up my hand, telling her to wait. I breathehardas I scroll to the next one. It’s the moment when shewastalking to Vanessa outside, bluntly telling her how she doesn’t care.

Her tears don’t even have any effect on me as I watch her bawl her eyes out. The more I stay in this room with her, the more I’ll lose my temper and I don’t want to, so I pull my hand away.
“We’re done here, Carmella.”
“You called me by name?”
“Yes, pack your things andleavemyhouse.”
Imanageto get away from her this time but as soon as I’m in thehallway, I run into Vanessa, who looks at me with concern
“Hey, are you okay?”
She’s become verygoodat reading my mood lately, but before I can even respond, Carmella grabs my attention when she calls out to me and rushes over. She drops to her kneesagain, tears still streamingdownher face.
You have to give me a chance. She holds onto my wrist with both hands. “Don’t do this to me!”
With a sigh of frustration, I say, “I already told you we’re done. I don’t know what else you want to hear from me.”
Though I’m looking at her while she’s in this state, I don’t regret my decision right now,
Pulling my hand away, I begin heading to my bedroom and leave her there, but I stop in my tracks when she turns her
attention to Vanessa.
“This is all yourfault!” she yells as she breathes hard.
“What?” Vanessaasks.
I instantly turn around and head back to them. I don’t want this to escalate.
“Don’t play dumb!Youdid this! Are you happy now? I’m going to kill you for this!”
Just as she swiftly raises her hand to slap Vanessa, I grab her wrist.
“Don’t you dare lay a hand on Vanessa.” I warn her, then glance at Vanessa as I say, “and you, go to your room or something”
Though Vanessa usually wouldn’t listen to such an instruction from me, it seems she understands the situation,soshe nods and heads to her room right away.
Even after she’s out of sight, Carmella twists her face in anger with her gaze fixed on Vanessa’s bedroom door.
“Now you’re defendingthatbitch after she’s managed to come between us?”
“Why can’t you see thatthisis all your fault? You did this to yourself. You’re the one who’s been lying to me and deceiving me. I’ll tell you one last time, I want you out of here right now. If you don’tpackyour things and leave, I’ll have someone else do it. Why couldn’t you just be the person I thought you were? I’ll never forgive you for this.”

It’s now close to 2 a.m. and Frank and I are having & few drinks at his nightclub. Unlike him. I’m drinking straight from the whiskey bottle like it’s plain water.
“Dude, you really need to slow down there,” he says to me.
