“Shaun, have you really broken up with Ms. Mallin this time?” Chelsea asked again, uncertain.
Shaun pressed his lips together and gave a short, “Yeah.”
That was all Chelsea needed to hear. She was over the moon.

Shaun opened the driver’s door of his luxury car and got in.
“Where are you going? I’m coming with you,” Chelsea said, reaching for the front passenger door, wanting to leave with him.
After all, Shaun and Halsey had officially split. This was the perfect chance, and Chelsea definitely wanted to take it.
But Shaun ignored her completely. He slammed the gas pedal and sped off.
Chelsea froze where she stood, getting blasted in the face by the car’s exhaust. She just stood there, speechless.
Clenching her fists, she watched the sleek car’s tail lights fade into the distance like Shaun’s cold, distant back-no matter how hard she chased, she just couldn’t catch him.
Still, Chelsea felt great. Getting Shaun and Halsey to break up was a huge win.
She immediately pulled out her phone and dialed Gilbert. “Everything went smoothly. Shaun and Halsey have split because of the baby.”
Gilbert was ecstatic. “Are they really done this time?”
Chelsea smiled. “They’ve broken up and gotten back together so many times, but Shaun’s never admitted it before. This time, he was the one who brought it up first. That means it’s really over.”
Gilbert was thrilled. “Fantastic! Finally, we’ve torn them apart! You’d better hurry and sleep with Shaun. Once that happens, it’s all over, and he’ll be yours for good.”
The fastest way was to sleep with him.
Chelsea smirked. “I’ll do my best. And you’d better make sure you take care of Halsey-get rid of that baby inside her!”
“Don’t worry,” Gilbert promised. “That baby won’t be born!”
Meanwhile, Halsey was upstairs watching Chelsea make the call. She didn’t need to guess who Chelsea was calling-Gilbert, no doubt, sharing the good news.
Halsey curled her lips into a cold smile, thinking they wouldn’t be happy for long.
Soon, Halsey met up with Wendy at a bar.
Wendy checked her pulse. “Don’t worry. The baby is healthy.”
Halsey breathed a sigh of relief. She had been forced onto the operating table by Gilbert and Chelsea’s trap, and was terrified that something might happen to the baby. Now that she knew the baby was fine, she felt a little better.
“Thank you, Wendy.”
“Do you need any help with your situation?”
Halsey smiled faintly. “Don’t worry. I can handle things myself. Gilbert and Chelsea have been sneaky, but now that I know their plan, I’m ready to fight back and expose them.”

Halsey looked up and saw Gilbert. The person she hated most had arrived.

“Why do you hate me so much? The more you hate me, the more I love you and want to conquer you.”
“But I don’t love you!” Halsey spat.
“Then, who do you love? Mr. Lane? I heard you two have broken up.”
