Quinn’s face was blank. “He’s dead. What’s the point of anything I’ve done?”
Hearing that, the man’s tone shifted. “Thinking of quitting now? Isn’t it a little too late for that?”
Quinn didn’t feel the least bit threatened. She let out a cold laugh. “You should know why I joined you in the first place. All these years, it’s only ever been for him. He’s gone now. What’s the point of any of it?”
