“He’s not the right person. Sierra doesn’t trust him. If he makes a move and fails, it’ll only tip them off

White suddenly had an idea. He looked at him and said, “Have your brother hold a press conference. Invite Sierra to attend.”
The man’s face fell. “If something happens to Sierra at the press conference, Johnathan will never let my brother off the hook.”
“Oh, how touching. What a loyal little brother. Too bad Greg doesn’t think much of you,” White said mockingly.
His so–called friend was Nate

“I said no. You told me you wouldn’t involve my brother in this.”
Nate shook his head firmly. Greg might scold him constantly, but Nate wasn’t an ingrate. He knew Greg did it for his own good.
White’s face darkened. He didn’t respond, but his expression turned stormy.
Nate could only add, “Even if my brother does hold a press conference, with how tightly Johnathan is guarding Sierra, there’s no way he’ll let her attend.”
“The real issue right now is that Johnathan thinks Sierra’s in danger.”
“So what if he’s convinced that danger’s passed?”
“Right now, he believes the threat comes from his two uncles and outside pressure.”
“But what if all of that disappears?”
“Then he won’t feel the need to keep Sierra locked away.”
“That means,” Nate concluded, “we need to address the source.”
White laughed bitter, incredulous.

Before Nate could finish, White hung up.
Nate was panicking. He knew White’s temper. If he didn’t find a solution soon, not only he, butevenGreg would get dragged into it.

Nate pressed his lips together, thinking hard.
Meanwhile, even though White had hung up, he was still mulling over Nate’s words.
He wasn’t wrong – Johnathan would only let his guard down once he believed things were safeagain. Only then would Sierra be allowed out. Only then would White have a real chance.
But the idea of having to fix the very mess he created made White furious.
In the end, though, he still caved.
And since he was fuming about it, his “friend” had to pay the price.
He couldn’t lash out at Johnathan. Nate wasn’t around.
So Greg became his next target.
