Jonathan shook his head, “I’ll be leavingsoon.”
Truthfully, if it hadn’t been for meeting Sierra, he would have leftalready. His initial trip to Maviston was partly a vacation and partly to search forTano.
After three years with no leads, he wasn’t planning to continue,plus, he had foundotherrewards.

With Sierra’s intelligence, she could definitely attend a more prestigious institution where she would gain much more.
Sierra shook her head; she had no immediate plans to leave as she wanted to stay with Lily for the remainder of her life.

“I hope I can complete my experiment before you leave.”
Sierra looked atJonathanearnestly.
He had helped her a lot, and she didn’t know how to thank him. Someone like Jonathan lacked nothing, and she felt the best gift she could offerwasto succeed in her medical research, proving her theories were correct.
As expected, Jonathan nodded approvingly. “I look forward to that day.”
While they were talking. Dickson peeked his head out oftheroom.Jonathangave him a glance and then got up to go back tohisplace.
Once he had left, Dickson stepped out, letting out asighof relief, “Did Mr. Yeager leave?”
Seeing how scared he was, Sierra couldn’t help but chuckle, “Why are you so afraid of him?”
Jonathan was actually very approachable.
Dickson ran a hand through his hair, “I don’t know, he just seems kind of intimidating.”
It wasn’t anythingJonathandid specifically, but more about hisaurathat Dickson couldn’t quite describe. Every time he sawJonathan, he felt too intimidated to speak loudly.

Sierra narrowed hereyesslightly, puzzled by the sudden shift in the school’s stance overnight. She suspected someone had intervened.
Looking at Wagner and the others, she asked. “Are you sure everything has been cleared up? There won’t be any more changes?”
“Of course, of course!” Wagner chucklednervously.
Exiting the school gates and seeing a familiar car parked outside, Sierra finally understood why the schoolhadso abruptly changed its stance.
The car door opened,andKasón stepped out, “Is everything handled?”
Sierra glanced at him. “Did you help?”
Kason spoke arrogantly. It was just a small matter. If I had been in Maviston earlier, none of this would have happened.”
“Only the Xander family would watch you be mistreated. Forget it, they’re your family afterall,”
He was even adept at sowing discord. Sierra’s eyebrows arched as she looked at Kason, I don’t like owingfavors. How am I supposed to repay this?”
“No need to repay.”
Kason stared at Sierra, his gaze aggressive, I might be a scoundrel, but I make sure those I care about aren’t bullied.”
