Ethan’s expression grew icy. He glanced at Brenna, gently withdrawing his arm from her hold. “My injury’s fine; it was treated last night. You should go now. I’ll handle the four of them.”
Brenna was reluctant to leave Ethan to confront them alone. Feeling accountable for the situation, she believed she should stay here with him.
“No, I’ll stay,” she said.
Using his uninjured hand, Ethan guided Brenna toward the private elevator he frequently used.
