Chapter 115
Chapter 115:
“I’m good…are you ready for your surprise?” He asked, smiling before pulling me in for a kiss.
“Aren’t you tired? Maybe we should just rest tonight p>
“Oh, Remy… I would never be too tired for you.” He winked and pulled me in for another kiss.
“What are you doing?” Ghazi asked when my hands roamed his chest and then to his back. I was genuinely curious. What if he got hurt earlier? I doubted he would tell me if he did.
“I’m checking you for wounds. Look, I know you have guards, but something just felt off with your last call. I just… I wanted you to be safe.” I cupped his face and kissed his lips gently. I didn’t mean for him to feel guilty, but his face told me otherwise.
“Oscar called, he’s my ex p>
I stiffened immediately. Goddamn… how many times do I have to go through this? My chest tightened and my heart ached. It took all of me to keep a calm face.
“He has a stalker, and I’m the only person he knows who could help him. He didn’t want anybody to know about this. He knew I’d keep everything quiet for him. I had Zal helping me p>
“Okay.” I cut him off. Honestly, I’d rather not know. I wanted nothing more than to crawl under a blanket and forget about it.
“Come on, let’s get to your surprise. Have you eaten dinner p>
“Not yet, I was hoping to have dinner with you p>
Fuck… I don’t know how long I can put up with this charade.
“Okay then, dinner first, then to our final destination p>
We had dinner at a nearby restaurant before heading to the place where he said Zal and his crew had helped him set up for me.
“Now, make sure you close your eyes,” he said before the car stopped, and I did, seconds before I felt a blindfold covering my eyes.
“I want you to keep an open mind about the place. You can hire your choice of interior decorator, but Zal and his guys helped clean up the place p>

“Wait, you’re throwing me out already?” I really didn’t know what to think, except disappointment. We were moving too fast, too soon, and I felt like I was heading down a path I wasn’t ready for.
The world’s tallest bridge, and ready to take a free fall. It was going to hurt. So fucking bad.
“What? No, I’m not.” There was genuine concern in his voice, and he kissed my cheek before continuing our steps. “Hold on, let me get the keys and open the door. Okay, are you ready p>
“Um… not really, but okay… Oh, my… what is this place?” I asked as he took off the blindfold and I opened my eyes.
There were display cases. It looked like an outdated shop.
There were lots of lights, the place was bright, yet old at the same time.
“I was hoping it would be your new shop where you can showcase your work.
There are two rooms in the back. One can be your office, and another one your workshop p>
“Ghazi, this is…” I was teary-eyed as I looked around the room. “This is too much. I can’t let you do this.” All of my worries faded. I felt like I’d taken the plunge, but now I was landing on cushy pillows. Clouds, even. I couldn’t find the words, and my eyes darted around the room, trying to take in the view.
“Well, you can and you will, because this place is paid for. You don’t have to worry about the rent. I bought it for you. Your name will be on the paperwork once it’s done p>
