Chapter 120
Chapter 120:
“He’s sleeping. I had Doc check on him an hour ago, and Oscar was given more pain medication just to help him rest. I’d say he’s more rattled than physically hurt.
The marks should be better in about a week, maybe less.” I paused, waiting for Ghazi to ask any questions, but when he didn’t, I continued.
“I’ve been digging, and your uncles are desperate.
They’re reaching out to Yubkin Komarov, but those Russian thugs are a mess right now. Chapters first released on.net
They’re struggling internally, so we have a good chance of ending all of this. You just need to say the word.” I offered, aware that although his uncles were the bad apples, they were still family.
“They did try to kill me. I need to think about this. Give me time. And when are you coming back to the city p>
“Oscar wanted to go to your place, but I know you have Remy there… so I,” The words hung in the air, knowing Ghazi still had feelings for his ex.
Things hadn’t ended well between them, but my cousin meant well.
“Fuck, thanks for doing this for me. But I think you need to stay with him just in case he decides to go back to the city. Our guys can’t say no to him since he’s not a prisoner, but you can talk him out of it. I have so much on my plate, and with Remy… he’s been through so much, and I need to keep him safe. I don’t know what my uncles would do to him p>
It sounded like Ghazi was too deeply in love with his new boyfriend. But I wasn’t about to say anything to my cousin. He deserved happiness, and if Remy could give him that, then I’d support the guy. For now, I just needed to help Oscar settle in the safe house for a few days, a week at most.
“Just until we get the guy responsible for the pictures. Oscar is deep in the closet. He didn’t need the exposure,” Ghazi added.
“Got it. Look, he’s going to wake up soon. I need to order food for us. I’ll text you in a couple more hours p>
“Good. I appreciate this, and let me know once our guys get this Dion guy p>
“Will do, boss p>

“Thank you, cousin p>
I opened an app and ordered food from the local restaurant. I wasn’t sure what Oscar liked, so I ordered several Italian dishes, thinking it was comfort food. I just needed him to keep his energy up.
The man needed to heal, and I needed to deal with that sick boyfriend of his. Seriously, he could do so much better.
I peeked into the master bedroom where I’d placed him, and the man was still sleeping peacefully. I guess the drugs really were that good. I was glad Doc was available on such short notice. We paid extra for the out-of-city visit, but the boss’s ex…
Safety needed to be prioritized. Yeah, I had to remind myself that the guy was Ghazi’s ex, and I had no business ogling him, no matter how pretty he was. It was two hours later when Oscar finally woke up. I was making coffee when he joined me in the kitchen.
“Hey, how are you feeling?” I asked after he took his first sip of coffee. Doc hadn’t mentioned any diet restrictions, so I assumed whatever drugs he was on were safe with coffee.
“Better, thank you. Have you heard anything from Ghazi?” His eyes were on me, and honestly, it was the first time I noticed them.
The grey was almost translucent—beautiful—and it took me a second before my mind snapped back into focus.
“Yes, I called him. I’m supposed to stay with you while he takes care of everything in the city.” It was a bit of a lie. I would take care of the issue and report to Ghazi’s ex. Ghazi would handle things with the family. His aunts had started getting restless, constantly pushing him to reconsider the situation with his uncles.
