Thank you.” I placed my hand on his arm and allowed him to lead me back to his car. I didn’t ask about my driver or if I should tell him to go home because I knew Ghazi had taken care of everything for me.
Ghazi’s car was tinted, and as the divider went up between us and his driver, he continued kissing me in the backseat. I wasn’t sure where we were headed, but I could tell it was a long drive. Eventually, the car came to a stop, and I found myself in a private airstrip while still sitting on his lap.
“You said no to Bora Bora, so I’m taking you to dinner on our way to Paris,” Ghazi explained. “I have a business meeting there, but I didn’t want to leave you alone in the apartment. I arranged for the French restaurant to deliver the food. We’ll be dining at over thirty thousand feet, on our way to Paris p>
I was still processing the surprise of the trip when he told me he’d packed our essentials. He added that we could buy anything else we needed once we got there.
His words caught my attention. I had assumed he was preoccupied with taking care of his ex. I knew Zal was handling things, but I figured Ghazi would want to be there if anything happened.
“I… I thought you had work?” I asked as I stepped onto the plane.
“I do. I need to sway some clients in Paris. But then I’m taking a couple of days off, just to be with you. I think we need this.” He took my hand, guiding me to our seat before helping me with my seatbelt.
I didn’t respond right away, still trying to make sense of his words. But as I sat there, I felt the nerves slowly slip away as the jet took off, the night sky stretching out around us. I rested my head on his shoulder and closed my eyes. In that moment, I forgot about dinner, the store, Jacqueline—everything except the perfect man beside me.
Dinner was wonderful. Once we were finished, I leaned back into my seat, and Ghazi slipped his arm around my shoulder. I didn’t even think about my appearance, knowing this was his private jet and he trusted his crew with everything, including his personal life.
When we landed, his men were already waiting for us. Darian ushered us to a sleek black SUV, with Bahram taking the passenger seat. I remembered both of them from our last trip to his wine country villa.
“The townhouse is usually rented out, we’re kind of lucky.” He said as he took my hand and intertwined it with his as we entered the house. His men had cleared the area and set security codes before leaving us to our privacy.

“My aunts love it here. But then things got ugly between us. I have the satisfaction of banning them from this place.” He explained and I just listened, my eyes roaming the show of elegance in front of me.
“Wow. It’s beautiful,” I had to gasp at the opulence of the foyer through the high ceiling living room. It looked modern and classic at the same time, the wealth dripping from its luxury. The man chuckled and sipped his drink before setting it down and starting to undress.
