Chapter 158
Chapter 158:
“I… I don’t know why you like me.
There are others better than me. Ghazi found Remy. You could find your Remy too,” I said, my voice barely above a whisper.
“What the hell are you talking about, Oscar? I like you! I don’t want Remy. I want you! I think you’re handsome, sexy, and smart. And I can’t stop thinking about you since you ended things between us,” he said, his voice filled with raw emotion. He didn’t give me a chance to reply before his lips smashed into mine, and I melted under his touch.
Oh… fuck.
Both of Ghazi’s uncles, Bijan and Reza, were in hiding.
They were injured when Ghazi and I shot them the night we rescued Oscar. Original content can be found at.net
They wore bulletproof vests, had guards covering their exits, and managed to slip away before we could put a bullet between their eyes. I was certain that at least one of them was bleeding, but I needed to find them. My thirst for revenge was feral to the point that I couldn’t think straight.
They hurt Oscar, and I had to calm my frustration when he was taken back to Ghazi’s. I needed to let my cousin shelter him because I had to focus on finding those bastards who dared to touch my Oscar.
One of my men had detained the executor, the one responsible for Oscar’s bloodied and bruised face and torso. My man was badly hurt, and I hated when Ghazi told me Oscar was to stay at his place while all I wanted to do was take care of him. Yes, I was stupid enough to still want to take care of him, no matter how easily he had dumped me.
I saw the hope in Oscar’s eyes when he saw Ghazi, there to shoot bullets and rescue him.
The man didn’t even look my way. Okay, maybe it was his swollen eye that stopped him from doing so, but still, I was petty enough to want him to acknowledge my existence. And my pettiness cost me my left arm. I got hit—fortunately, it was just a graze, a big one, but I made do by slapping on a Band-Aid. Well, several Band-Aids, actually—but it stopped bleeding. I think. I didn’t care enough to check.
Days later, when his assistant Felicity called me, I didn’t know how to react. I knew Oscar was hiding his sexuality in his office. Ghazi had told me so, and his affair with his late ex Dion only made it clearer. But the moment I found out where he was hiding, I rushed to the safe house as fast as my car could take me.
I was still anxious to see him after days of not knowing how he was. Ghazi had let him go, and Remy had convinced me to stay calm and wait for Oscar to send me a message. It was crazy to learn that Remy had known Oscar as Dave, the young man also told me he had been intimate with him. We talked longer once Ghazi left me alone with his boyfriend. Remy wasn’t shy when he figured out that I had feelings for Oscar; he basically told me to be patient with him.
When I finally saw Oscar, I immediately took him in my arms. Getting him under the shower was my priority.

The man stank, and I hated that he hadn’t been taking care of himself. If I had known this is what he had succumbed to, I would have never left his side.
“Zal, what happened to your arm?” Oscar’s question brought me back to the reality of the situation we were in.
“I got hit,” I shrugged, grabbing a towel and drying Oscar’s body, then wrapping the towel around his waist. He waited as I dried myself and wrapped my own towel around my waist, covering my semi. At least that got Oscar talking again—well, maybe it was the orgasm I had given him earlier.
“When? Was it when you rescued me p>
“I didn’t think you noticed, but yeah. One of those bastards got me, but I shot him dead, so I’m good. I’ve avenged my arm,” I said easily. My heart warmed when I saw the shy smile forming on his face. “But I haven’t managed to find Ghazi’s uncles, that’s why I wasn’t around… you know, just in case you were wondering.” There was a hint of sarcasm in my voice.
