Chapter 174
Chapter 174:
“You’re an adult; you should do what you want. Live here with me and take that pilot course.
Then you can be one of those private jet pilots or just fly one for fun. I’ll set you up with someone to handle your finances. You’re rich; you can live well without working for your dad p>
“Deal with my finances p>
“Yeah, I’ve got a guy. I’m sure you and your rich friends call him a financial advisor, but to us, to me, he’s just my finance guy. Look, I’m sure you know what kind of business we’re in.” Zal spread his hands, showing me the opulence of the penthouse suite that was once home to Ghazi’s uncles—the same uncles who had only been good at leeching off him and his business empire.
“I suppose…” I wasn’t entirely sure. I knew I had money, and I’d been putting it away ever since things started getting serious with Ghazi, thinking one day I might need it for an emergency fund. I dared to imagine that one day he and I would leave everything behind and live the rest of our days on some tropical island.
“Well, let me know what you think. I can call him tomorrow and let him set you up with a dummy corporation to invest in. Shell companies where you can turn your money into a profit without even having to leave this place.” Zal grinned, as if he were sharing the world’s most well-kept secret. Well, in a way, he kind of was, which got me thinking about his motives for telling me about his money guy. Read full story at.net
“Come on, let me show you the rest of the place before we head to the second penthouse.
Then you can choose where you want us to settle p>
“Okay,” I said, the word slipping out easily as my mind worked. Was it going to be this simple being with Zal? The man was an open book. He had been loving, possessive, and mostly honest with me. I should at least trust him, right? At least reciprocate his trust. Maybe there’s a chance for something more between us.
Though, with my luck, I highly doubt it…
Oscar ended up choosing the first penthouse.
The place was cleared of its previous owners’ personal belongings, though the knick-knacks and furniture remained since the wives had left in a hurry. Still, we had movers pack up their things and ship them out of the country.

That same day, I had my men move our things into the penthouse and handed Oscar his access card to our new place. I watched as he blushed when I told him that the penthouse was now his to live in. I generally didn’t care much about my belongings, since I’ve always lived dangerously and never expected to live long. My retirement fund was enough to support me well into my hundredth year, but honestly, that felt like a lifetime. If the bullets didn’t get me first, the occasional cigarettes and cigars surely would. So, I kept things simple.
But now, I had Oscar. And I’d buy him anything he wanted. He had me wrapped around his fingers.
“Now that we’re in your dream penthouse, I think we should celebrate. So, Oscar, tell me, what are you thinking?” I rubbed his jaw before leaning in to kiss his lips.
It was after dinner when I took him back to our new penthouse. My team did a great job moving our stuff, and I had them take most of his clothes and personal belongings from his penthouse to ours. I also asked Robyn to arrange for an interior decorator to make the place more modern. All of it was done in a matter of hours.
Things were easy when you had extra money to throw around, and I had more than enough stashed away in my bank account.
“Oh my god, my stuff… it’s all here.
This place looks… even better than before. How… we’ve only been gone for hours p>
My heart warmed at the sight of his delighted smile. He let go of my hand and looked around our new place.
