“Come on, I’ve drawn you a bath. We’re going to take a nice warm shower while I clean you thoroughly before we enjoy the bath together p>
He chuckled when he saw how shaky my legs were. He helped me into the bathroom and let me see the marks he’d left on my body before rinsing and cleaning every crease.
“I like this.” I rested back on his chest and let his arms wrap around me, feeling his lips on my temple as we moved from the shower to the spacious bathtub.
“Mmhmm… I like it too, baby. You’re too beautiful not to be adored p>
“I’m hungry,” I blurted out long after we settled in the bath with his arms around me and his strong thighs caging mine.
He chuckled before helping me out of the bath. My fingers were pruney from staying in too long, but I was basking in his affection as he dried me off and wrapped my over-sensitive body in a thick, fluffy bathrobe. He put on a similar robe and led me to the kitchen, where I watched as he made me peanut butter sandwiches and two big cups of coffee.
“Come on, we’ll eat in the living room. I’m sure your ass will feel better on the nice cushions.” He winked before leading the way to the sofa.
The sandwiches were gone in minutes, then the coffee was finished. I rested on his chest when he told me that he would be leaving in a couple of days.

“But you should stay. You don’t need to go to work. I don’t want you going back to your apartment.
This place is as much yours as it is mine. Maybe you can figure out when and how you’ll take that pilot course p>

Zal had crashed into my life and stayed. For the past few weeks, I had spent so much time with him, clinging to him, all needy and craving his affection. And now, knowing he might leave me alone, I was suddenly confused.

“A couple of weeks?” I squeaked, embarrassed, and he seemed amused by my obvious insecurities.
“I’m kidding, baby. You’re just too easy, aren’t you?” He kissed my temple, assuring me it would only be for a day or two. “I just need to extract some truth.

What the hell? I cursed myself silently for blurting out such nonsense. Zal chuckled again, and I felt like a blushing teenager as warmth spread from my neck up to my cheeks.
“Oh, Oscar, baby… you’re so adorable. You just boosted my ego, I’m not sure my head will fit through the door if you keep that up.” He tilted my jaw and pressed a kiss on my lips.
I wasn’t sure how I ended up so nervous. Zal wasn’t the first man I’d been with, yet somehow, he was the first person to make me flustered with each tease. Even the thought of him leaving for a couple of days made me nervous. Maybe it was the fact that he wanted to marry me, but that shouldn’t have made me feel so anxious.
Something in my gut told me it was more than what I had felt with Ghazi, and it scared the hell out of me.
This could go wrong in so many ways. It could turn out worse than when things ended between me and Ghazi.
It scared the hell out of me. Yet, strangely, I still wanted to see where we’d go from here. Maybe it was wrong of me to hope, but like a fool, I just couldn’t help myself.
