specify how many copies she
wanted to be published. Instead, she
sent over a link to her homepage.
Paula clicked on it and scanned the backend sales data. The impressive numbers left no room for doubt.
Paula suggested, “If you grant us the licensing rights for your comic, we can start publishing a batch right away.”
Jessica had initially planned to cover
the upfront costs herself, as a few thousand copies wouldn’t be enough to meet demand. Upon realizing she wouldn’t need to pay anything upfront, her grin widened. “Sounds great!”
Being cautious by nature, Paula added, “Still, I suggest you put up a pre-order link to gauge interest ahead of time.”
