Sebastian’s gate was fixed on Callin in the crowd, and without hesitation, he called out, “Caitlin, please come up to the stager”
The moment he said “Callin,” the fantasies of the other women in the audience shattered instantly. It was clear now–Sebastian had already made his decision. Caitlin was the one he had chosen
“Caitlin, hurry up and go!” Wendy, who had attended the event with her brother, smiled and encouraged Caitlin to go up on stage.
Under the spotlight, Caitlin walked gracefully up the stage, her dress swishing as she moved. Sebastian moved toward her and offered his hand to help her up, his actions filled with politeness and a tenderness that no one else could receive.
As they stood side by side on the stage, Sebastian smiled at her briefly , and in a tone that seemed almost like an oath, he said, “Today, I want to take this opportunity to say something that I’ve kept buried in my heart for a long time.
“The person I want to thank the most is the beautiful lady by my side, my ex–wife, Caitlin.
“A few months ago, I was involved in a car accident during a race e and almost became a vegetable. During that period, my family arranged for
wife to take care of me. She came into my life, and thanks to her meticulous care, I had a chance to recover.
“However, I didn’t understand the circumstances at the time. I was strongly opposed to the idea of this arranged marriage. After recovering, I made what I thought was a right decision but was, in fact, a huge mistake. I divorced Caitlin
“But after the divorce, I realized that Caitlin was the one I had been looking for all these years. She is the one who bore me children and
shared my life.
“My previous marriage ended due to misunderstanding and ignorance, and I regret it every day. Today, I’m here to make a public c and ask Caitlin to marry me again.”
Sebastian’s heartfelt words explained the reasons behind his divorce from Caitlin, and his sincerity caused the entire room to erupt in astonishment. Many women’s hearts broke, and a quiet sense of envy filled the air.
Sebastian was going to propose to Caitlin? He was actually going to propose?
The women in the room couldn’t help but feel their jealousy bubble up.
Zora felt the sting deeply, like a knife being plunged into her chest, as the weight of his words hit her.
Sebastian wasn’t just speaking for show. At that moment, the large screen above the stage flickered with a magical transformation. A cute little angel appeared, flying across the screen, holding a small box–the kind that obviously contained a ring.
Though it was an animation, when the angel raised the box to hand it to Sebastian, he reached up and took it as if by magic, pulling it out of the screen itsell. The crowd was stunned by the spectacle, unsure of how Sebastian had managed to do it.
Opening the box, a dazzling diamond ring lay inside, sparkling brightly under the stage lights.
The women in the room gasped in awe.
“Wow, what a beautiful ring!”
“That’s a massive diamond, how much is it worth?”
“ I have a friend who works at Feilin Jewelry Company, and she told me Mr. Vanderbilt had ordered a 10–carat diamond ring a month ago, and this looks like it! The jewelry box ever has the Feilin logo”

“ So Mr. Vanderbilt has been planning this proposal for a while! Caitlin is so lucky!”
with all eyes on him, Sebastian, holding the diamond ring, dropped to one knee in front of Caitlin.
“Caitlin, though five years may not seem long, it feels like we’ve missed so much time. In these five years, we’ve missed out on many moments due to various reasons
“But for the future. I want every day of my life to include you. To have you with me for the rest of my life is enough.
“Today, I vow before God that I am sincere in this proposal. I want to build a life with you, to create a home for you and our children.”
Sebastian’s words moved the entire audience, and every woman in the room felt their hearts sink. The men, too, learned a lesson in love.
Simon watched this scene with a feeling of contentment. As a friend and mentor, Simon genuinely hoped that Caitlin would find happiness.
Wendy was so excited that she was nearly brought to tears. To have a man propose so openly and romantically–what woman wouldn’t dream of this?
This kind of happiness, Wendy thought, was something she could never hope for
Among the crowd, Benjamin watched the proposal unfold, his emotions conflicted. What kind of love must a man have for a woman to be willing to jump into marriage? He couldn’t even fathom that feeling
As he glanced across the room, his eyes met Wendy’s. Despite her being a larger girl, he couldn’t deny that ever since they stopped interacting, his heart felt an emptiness he couldn’t shake. He wanted to talk to her but couldn’t bring himself to. After all, he didn’t really need her, did he?
With Sebastian’s proposal now complete, everyone waited eagerly for Caitlin’s response.
Yasmin was seething with jealousy. She had fantasized about this moment countless times, but now , the woman who got Sebastian proposal was Caitlin
Zora regretted coming to witness the proposal. Wasn’t it self–punishment at this point?
On stage, as Sebastian and Caitlin locked eyes, Caitlin hesitated to speak, causing Sebastian to feel uneasy. Some of the guests held their breath, hoping Caitlin would say yes.
He knew Caitlin was against marriage. Would she resist his public proposal?
“Caitlin, please say yes!” Wendy shouted from below.
Others joined in, urging her to accept, “ Say yes! Marry himl Marry him!”
The chants grew louder. Sebastian could feel sweat forming on his forehead as he anxiously asked again , “Caitlin, will you marry me? be my Mrs. Vanderbilt?”
Some of the women in the crowd sneered, “Is she refusing? Just say it already !”
It wasn’t that Caitlin was hesitating, but rather, she was carefully considering her decision. After all, she was someone who had never believed in marriage. To willingly accept a man into her life and enter the bonds of matrimony was a huge decision for her.

As she reflected on the moments she had shared with Sebastian–the sweetness, the romance, the unconditional trust and support, the way he had protected her with his life–she was moved by everything he had done for her.
Now, she had to make one of the most important decisions of her life.
