Chapter 492
Rowan has been in training to be the next Luna for the last four years. She found her mate, Declan immediately following her 21st birthday and is a natural teacher and leader. A political uprising brings in Carys, the daughter of a neighboring Alpha who can bring money and prestige to the Red River Pack. Declan publically rejects Rowan, to show that he isn’t a weak Alpha and will do what is needed to make the pack successful. With no regard for the time and effort she has put into becoming what he expected of her as the next Luna. Rowan accepts through the pain of the rejection, seeing her former mate’s true colors for the first time.
Living in the human college town two hours away, Rowan has made herself into a new woman among the humans over the last two years, when her wolf calls her home. Only to find the Lycan Prince and an army of Lycan soldiers in Red River.
Lycans hate werewolves, the animosity goes back to the great war when the Goddess was forced to split the races because the Lycans were too bloodthirsty for the werewolves and would attack without provocation. The Lycans became royalty and werewolves are only slightly better than humans in their eyes.
Follow Rowan and she is forced back into a world that threw her out as soon as the Alpha deemed her unworthy.
