When she finished, she handed both copies back to him. “Keep them both. If things ever go wrong between us, let your lawyers sort it out. I’ll accept whatever is written here p>
Allan shook his head and pressed one of the copies into her hand. “No, you should keep one. I want you to have it, just in case p>
Adah saw no point in keeping a copy. Allan’s insistence didn’t make much sense to her, but with so many eyes on them, refusing would only draw attention. So she accepted the papers, telling herself she would never bother reading them.
Yet as she held the document, a clause caught her eye. Her breath hitched and her pupils widened with disbelief.
