“She’s called Patricia. She’s not officially signed as a child model under XEG, but she has been the highlight of a few XEG children’s fashion shows.”
“The public knows very little about her. The Harris Family has kept her very well protected.”
“We reached out to former servants who worked at Thompson Residence and got some details. She is Ximena’s granddaughter, and Zora is her aunt. Apparently, she has never had a mother.”
“We even managed to get a few sneaky photos of her. I’ll send them to you right away! She might really be your little girl!”
When the call ended, Caitlin felt as though shards of glass had been dumped onto her chest. It hurt so much that even breathing was painful.
Quincy sent over the photos, and Caitlin opened them eagerly.
The photos were taken secretly, so most of them were side profiles , not clear frontal shots. There were a few shots of the girl moving around the estate, always holding a colorful pinwheel in her hand.
Looking closely at the girl’s face, Caitlin couldn’t hold back her tears. This couldn’t be anything but her daughter, right ?
Bruce and Arthur’s profiles looked almost exactly like this!
At that moment, her heart screamed in excitement.

Holding the photos of the child, Caitlin looked at them over and over again, unable to sleep, her eyes filling with tears. Her heart was bursting with an indescribable excitement. But she still had one more thing to do–she needed to find a way to approach the Harris family and confirm the child’s identity.
Once confirmed, she would do everything in her power to bring her daughter back.
However, that would undoubtedly be difficult. With how tightly the Harris family had protected her, how could they just give the child to her?
But no matter how hard it was–no matter what obstacles she faced, even if it meant walking through fire and mountains–she would fight for her daughter!

In the CEO office of VEG, the atmosphere had grown so
cold it felt like it could freeze.
Sebastian had been sitting there for over half an hour with a gloomy expression , his aura as frigid as an ancient glacier , almost like a living ice sculpture .
Tyler and the others didn’t dare to breathe. Xavi hurried back from outside and instantly felt something was off when he entered the room.
The air in the office was thick and suffocating, as though it could choke you.
He saw Sebastian sitting in the chair, his face dark as thunder, and glanced at Tyler. Tyler gave him a look that said “Good luck with this one , ” signaling
that he should handle it himself.
“ Mr. Vanderbilt, what’s going on? Did something happen?” Xayi summoned up the courage to ask.
Sebastian slowly lifted his gaze, giving him a cold, piercing look.

“Xavi! Is this your first day working with me? Do you not understand my thoughts anymore?”
“No, Mr. Vanderbilt, is there something I did wrong?” Xavi thought desperately, “What’s going on? Why is he so upset? I really don’t get it anymore:
Sebastian’s face was as dark as the underworld. Was he trying to scare him to death with that terrifying expression?
“Take a good look for yourself!” Sebastian snapped, gesturing to his subordinates to dump
the contents of a bag onto the coffee table in front of him.
The items spilled out with a clatter, and Xavi’s eyes widened in disbelief. ‘So many long–legged beauties?”
“Mr. Vanderbilt, what… is this?” Xavi stammered, unable to make sense of it. Why was Sebastian showing him these things?
Tyler explained, “Xavi, today Mr. Vanderbilt asked you to prepare a gift in the trunk, based on his image. Why did you end up putting in all these strange items? Now, Mr. Vanderbilt has been misunderstood by Caitlin!”
Xavi nearly fell to his knees at hearing this. “Who did this to me? Who’s trying to destroy me?”
“Mr. Vanderbilt, I’m innocent! I swear! I really followed your instructions, and I arranged it beautifully! Any girl would fall for it. I even took photos as proof! If you don’t believe me, look!”
Xavi quickly pulled up the photos from his phone, showing them as evidence. “There were also two of my colleagues there. I can call them over and have them testify!”
Sebastian looked at the photos Xavi had taken and listened to the testimonies from the other two subordinates. He believed Xavi was innocent.
“So, you arranged everything according to my instructions, but someone tampered with it afterward?”

Sebastian slammed the table in anger. Just thinking about how his image had taken another dive in Caitlin’s eyes made him feel like murdering
someone.
The office was silent. Nobody dared to speak.
Sebastian paced back and forth in the office, then suddenly stopped,
He turned to Xavi and Tyler. “Do you think if I explained to her that I wanted to give her teddy bears, not adult toys, would she believe me?”

Tyler: “……”

“Forget it! I don’t even believe myself!” Sebastian’s frustration was evident. He could see from their eyes that even if h wouldn’t wash away this misunderstanding!

The email outlined a possibility: in the case of a paternity test, another possibility could be that the person in question was the identical twin brother of his father. In such cases, the DNA test results would show nearly identical results between the nephew and the uncle, as well as between the nephew and
his father.
Reading this email, Sebastian’s mind couldn’t settle. He immediately left the office and rushed to the Vanderbilt Family estate to find his grandmother

When he arrived at the estate, Sebastian found Beatrice sitting with Raymond, who was chatting with the elderly woman, putting on a show of being a good son.
“Grandma!” Sebastian walked in, and Beatrice looked up. “Sebastian, you’re back. Have you had dinner? I’ll have the servants prepare something.”
“No need to trouble yourself, Grandma. I’ve eaten already,” Sebastian replied, before focusing his gaze on Raymond.
“Since you’re here, why don’t you spend some time with Grandma? I have something to take care of, so I’ll step out for a while.”
Raymond stood up to leave, and Sebastian subtly glanced at Tyler. Tyler understood and signaled back, confirming they were ready to keep an eye on Raymond.
“Grandma!” Sebastian sat down and took her hand. “Tell me about the old days.”
“What old days do you want to hear about?”
“Grandma, I want to know how many children you had.”
Beatrice smiled, “How many do you think I had? Your father and your second uncle!”
“Was my father the only one? Did he have an identical twin brother?”
Beatrice didn’t expect the sudden question, and the inquiry seemed to stir up painful memories from the past.
