I would have preferred the night to be just the two of us.

When River stepped into the room and shut the door behind him, I felt a slow grin spreading across my face.

Because if anything, his presence only made things more interesting.

That was when I decided to take advantage of her distraction.

I leaned closer… and brushed my lips against the side of her neck.

A soft hum escaped her, and her head tilted automatically, giving me more access.

I pressed another kiss there.

Then another.

I trailed slow, warm kisses down the soft skin of her neck while River continued his slow torture across the room.

My hand slid over her shoulder, and the silky fabric of her nightgown slipped beneath my fingers as I gently dragged the outer layer down her left shoulder.

Her skin was warm.

Soft.

I pressed a firmer kiss against her collarbone.

And this time I didn’t hold back.

My lips lingered there longer, marking the spot with a deeper kiss that made her gasp softly.

A small love mark would definitely appear there by morning.

Across the room, River finally finished removing the last piece of clothing he had been wearing.

His eyes landed on us.

“Bring her here,” he said calmly.

I didn’t argue.

Instead, I slid my arms under Eva and lifted her easily.

She let out a quiet sound of surprise, but her legs wrapped around my waist almost instantly, like it was the most natural thing in the world.

I carried her to the bed and lowered her down carefully beside my brother. And the moment she touched the mattress, River’s arm wrapped around her waist and pulled her closer.

He kissed her – hard, deep, like he had been waiting to do that since the moment he walked in.

Evaline melted against him almost instantly, her lips parting for his tongue.

Her pleasure surged through our mate bond, fueling my own desire.

I watched them for a moment before turning my attention to my own clothes.

My pajama pants hit the floor first before the boxers followed.

A second later I climbed onto the bed behind Eva, sandwiching her between the two of us… exactly where she belonged.

Things might have been even more fun if Oscar had been home tonight. Unfortunately for him, he had to stay at the Warrior Academy to take care of some pack matters and couldn’t join us tonight.

I knew my younger brother wouldn’t be happy once he learned what he missed.

My fingers found the hem of her outer gown and slowly dragged it down her arms until the silk slipped away completely and joined the growing pile of clothes on the floor.

Her long silver hair was still tied up with a clutcher. So I reached forward and pulled it free.

The moment it came loose, those silky strands cascaded down her back like liquid moonlight.

I couldn’t resist.

I leaned closer and buried my nose in her hair, breathing in the scent of her shampoo.

Stars, I loved that scent.

My lips brushed against the back of her neck, then the curve of her shoulder. I trailed soft kisses across her nape and down the smooth skin of her back.

In front of us, River finally broke the kiss, letting our mate finally breathe.

And I noticed how her cheeks turned a deeper shade of red.

I chuckled quietly behind her.

But my brother wasn’t alone in his misery. I was in the exact same condition.

My arm slid around her waist as I leaned closer and gently turned her face toward me.

Before she could say anything, I captured her lips in another kiss. It wasn’t as long as River’s, but just as hungry.

When I finally pulled back, my fingers slipped beneath the hem of her nightgown.

The thin fabric slid upward slowly with my fingers. Then, in one smooth motion, I lifted it over her head and tossed it aside.

Eva gasped quietly.

She was left in only in her black panty.

River’s gaze darkened slightly.

And a moment later… he had that last barrier removed as well.

Our mate inhaled sharply as she realized there was nothing left between her and us now.

My fingers traced slowly along her arm while River brushed a strand of silver hair away from her face.

The room had grown quieter. Warmer. It was charged with a different kind of energy now.

River leaned forward and pressed a soft kiss against her forehead.

Eva let out a slow breath, her fingers tightening slightly around the sheets as she looked between the two of us.

And then… she leaned in and kissed me first before pulling back and kissing River.

I pulled her into my arms as River moved between her legs, spreading them so he could taste her.
