Jonathan’s voice was low, his fingers casually tracing the shell of her ear. He wanted nothing more than to bring Sierra home with him right now, just like a predator marking his territory, keeping her locked in his space.

Sierra stumbled into her home in a daze, completely missing the heated look in Jonathan’s eyes as he watched her disappear behind the door.
The moment the door clicked shut, Sierra instinctively placed a hand over her chest. My heart was pounding, too fast. So fast that it felt like it might burst out of my chest.I was dating Jonathan; I was actually dating Jonathan!

A voice suddenly interrupted her thoughts. She turned to see Dickson staring at her in confusion.
“It’s nothing. I’m heading to my room.” Embarrassed at being caught looking flustered, Sierra hurriedly retreated to her
room.
Meanwhile, just a wall away, Jonathan calmly shrugged off his coat. A rare, satisfied smile played on his lips.
He ran his fingers over his own, as if still feeling the warmth of Sierra’s touch. Pouring himself a drink, he leaned backontohis sofa, slowly savouring the taste.
He hadn’t lied, he really had never dated before. To him, relationships had always been unnecessary.
