Johnathan shot her a sharp glare, as if on the verge of saying something, but Stone quickly intervened. “Let’s find her first!â€
Johnathan swallowed his rage and began searching.
The birthday party was being held at the Treno family’s private estate. It wasn’t huge, but it wasn’t exactly small either.
Stone had already contacted estate securityandconfirmed that no one had left the premises.
Mateo and Draven were also scouring the grounds.
with every minute that passed, Johnathan’s face grew darker, and tension gripped the rest of them. If something really had
happened….
They didn’t dare follow that thought.
Justas Johnathan wasspiralinginto panic, he suddenlyheardsomething. He rushed toward the sound without hesitation.

Mateo and the others exchanged glances before quickly following
They saw Johnathan come to a sudden halt–hisbody stiffened–then immediately tore off his jacket.
The others couldn’t see clearly, only catchingaglimpse of Sierra’s foot. Quinn let out a gasp and cried out, “Sierra!â€
As soon as she spoke, Johnathan whipped around and shot her a glare more terrifying than any she had ever seen.
She instinctively stepped back.
Even the others were rattled by Johnathan’s rage. Finally,Stonebraced himself and said, “We have to get her to a hospital- now!â€
Johnathan scooped Sierra into his arms, and if one looked closely, they’dseehis hands trembling
The
group
rushed to the hospital. Johnathan stood outside the emergency room, his expression unreadable.
Maddox arrived after calming the rest of the guests. He was about to ask what had happened when Draven pulled him aside.
Dravenshook his head. “Don’t go over just yet.â€
No one knew Sierra’s condition yet, and Draven was afraidJohnathanwould lash out After all, this happened at Maddox’s
event
“Did you look into it?†Draven asked in a low voice.
“There are no cameras in that area,†Maddox said with a deep frown.
So they st
y still didn’t know what exactly had happened–but judging from everyone’s expressions, it had to be serious,
AllMaddox could hope for now was that Sierra would be okay.
Johnathan didn’t register any of what was happeningaroundhim. His eyes remained locked on the emergency room doors, his mind replaying what hehadjust seen.

Finished
Soon, the doctor came out.
“The patient is stable. She’s still unconscious due to traces of drugs in her system. We’ve treated her wounds and examined her. There are no signs of assault, but the injuries are extensive–most likely from struggling. Also, there’sabitemarkon her wrist. We’ve sent the saliva sample for testing, but the results aren’t back yet.â€
Before the doctor even finished, Johnathan had already pushedpastand gone inside to see Sierra
The others felt their hearts sink. Maddox was especially stunned.
He had only invited people he trusted–there shouldn’thavebeen any issues. And yet, something had gone terribly wrong.
He had no idea how to face either Johnathan or Sierra now.
Quinn, standing off totheside, began to sob softly.
“How did this happen? I shouldn’t have left. If I hadn’t left, she wouldn’t have gotten hurt.â€
Mateotriedto comfort her. “It’s not your fault. Whoever did this came prepared.â€
Nearby, Draven turned to the doctor. “I’ll need a copy of the toxicology report.â€
He wanted to know exactly what drug had been used–andhe knew Johnathan would demand to see it too..
Stone stepped away to make some calls, and Maddox got busy as well. He had to give Johnathan and Sierra an explanation for what had happened.
Mateo began checking the other surveillance cameras, hoping to spot anything suspicious.
Quinn watched the others for a moment, then quietly moved toward the hospital room. Draven quickly stepped in front of
her.
“Don’t go.
He shook his head. “Let them have a moment.â€
Right now, Johnathan was a ticking time bomb–no one knew when he might explode.
Quinn bit her lip. “I just feelsoawful.â€
She lowered her head. Draven sighed, thinking shewasoverwhelmed with guilt–unaware that what Quinn really felt was
frustration
Frustration that her plan had failed.
