Chapter 294
Chapter 294:
Smirking with confidence, Rebecca glanced at Stella. “Relax, Sylvia. It’s just for fun. No need to overthink it.”
Stella calmly arranged her hand, unfazed by Rebecca’s words.
As the game picked up, Rebecca clearly had the upper hand. For the first three rounds, neither Sharon nor Stella even got to play a card. The fewer cards she had left, the wider Rebecca’s grin became.
But Stella remained patient, biding her time until Rebecca had just a handful of cards left. Then, she made her move.
From subtle clues earlier in the game, Stella had already figured out most of Rebecca’s hand. Working smoothly with Sharon, they emptied their hands in just a few rounds.
“What? How?” Rebecca stared at the finished pile, completely stunned. She had been certain—absolutely certain—she would win!
Watching her expression, Stella offered softly, “Want to go for another round?”
Rebecca quickly grabbed the cards and shuffled again, eager to reclaim her win.
However, just a few minutes into the second game, Stella once again came out on top.
Rebecca was completely baffled. Even with a great hand, holding the two strongest cards, she still lost to Stella. How was that possible?
“I seriously can’t wrap my head around this. Sylvia, are you secretly reading my cards or something?” Rebecca asked with wide-eyed innocence, but her tone was laced with accusation.
The others in the room turned their attention to Stella, curious about how she guessed Rebecca’s cards.
Sharon, who hadn’t warmed to Rebecca from the beginning, gave her a cold look. “Sylvia doesn’t need to cheat. She could win a game like this in her sleep. If you’re losing, maybe it’s just because you’re not as good as you thought.”
Rebecca’s lips tightened, and she quickly looked over at Shaun, trying to save face. “That’s not what I meant. It’s just… kind of unreal, that’s all.”

Without a word, Stella calmly flipped her cards face-up and began playing the next round in full view of everyone.
Now, with everyone watching closely, it became obvious that Stella wasn’t cheating.
Every move she made seemed to directly block Rebecca’s, as if she could actually see the cards Rebecca was holding.
In the end, the outcome was the same—Stella won, again.
“Wait, you’re actually calculating every possibility? That’s insane!” a guy nearby said, clearly impressed, his eyes lighting up with admiration.
Stella gave a modest laugh. “It’s not that big a deal. With a little practice, anyone could do it.”
Back in school, she’d been known for her talent with numbers. Probability, logic, and mental calculations had always come naturally. Card games like this? Child’s play.
