He studied her closely, reading every subtle shift in her posture, the way she hesitated for only a fraction of a second before pushing herself forward again.

“You had another dream,” he said softly, almost to himself, as though speaking the words aloud would make sense of the chaos.

Orion was silent. He already suspected. He had heard her voice after all, and that was why he was here — to make sure she was safe, to make sure she wasn’t in any danger.

She nodded, then wiped the tears from her eyes.

Sophia frowned. “Who?” she asked him.

Orion smiled. “Noctis p>

Then Sophia watched as bones shifted, and a massive silver-and-black wolf stood in Orion’s place, the shape of a half crescent moon glinting on his forehead.
