Shaun looked at Halsey with deep affection. “There are thousands of women in this world, but I only love you, too.”

They shared a smile and a tender kiss.

When they pulled apart, Shaun dropped to one knee. “I know I said I’d give you time to think, and I could wait, but I just can’t anymore. I can’t wait to make you my wife, to have you as my Mrs. Lane. Halsey… Will you marry me?”

Shaun had just proposed.

The moment didn’t go unnoticed. Several people nearby stopped and crowded around them, cheering and shouting, “Say yes! Say yes! Say yes!”

Bathed in bright lights and the excitement of the crowd, Halsey lifted her lips into a soft smile. “I will!”

She said yes.

Right after Halsey agreed, Shaun’s eyes lit up with overwhelming joy. He had done it. His proposal had succeeded — Halsey was going to be his wife!

Shaun stood and scooped Halsey into his arms. “Yes! You’re finally mine!”

He held her and spun around a few times, laughter bubbling out. The crowd cheered even louder.

Halsey quickly wrapped her arms around his neck, playful and worried at the same time. “Careful! The baby!”

Shaun grinned from ear to ear. “You’re gonna be my wife! We’re getting married!”

Halsey had known Shaun for years. He was usually reserved, never showing emotions so openly. Seeing him this happy for the

first time, she held him tight.

Yes, they were finally getting married.

They were lost in their happiness, completely unaware of the eyes watching them from behind, full of envy and malice.

It was Sienna.

Sienna had been Halsey’s mortal enemy. At first, she had seduced Gilbert, only to be abandoned and fall into a low point.

After Gilbert and his cronies were locked up, Sienna was left alone.

She lingered in a quiet corner, staring at Halsey. She couldn’t accept it. Halsey was deeply loved by Shaun, a rising star in the business world, and pampered to no end. Sienna wanted that kind of happiness, too.

She looked at Shaun’s handsome face, even more striking than Gilbert’s. Then again, Dwight’s looks had already been on par with Gilbert’s back when he was still a poor nobody.

The resentment gnawed at Sienna.

Why did Halsey have everything while she had nothing?

But soon, Sienna smiled. She pulled a mirror from her bag and studied her reflection.

Her face was no longer the old Sienna. She had gone abroad for plastic surgery and now had a new face. It was younger, fresher, and more beautiful completely unrecognizable as Sienna Her figure was stunning as well, her voluptuous bosom impossible to ignore.

She lifted her lips in a smirk. She had even changed her name now, she was Sierra Fletcher.

She had heard Halsey was attending Anteoch University, so she had used her connections to get in as well.

Sierra’s gaze lingered on Halsey. If Halsey thought this was over, she was dead wrong. Their war was only just beginning!

With that, Sierra turned around and left.

Shaun gently set Halsey down. “Are you dizzy?”

Halsey pouted. “It’s your fault! I told you not to spin me!”

Shaun laughed happily. “Sorry, I’m just so thrilled! I’m gonna start planning our wedding!”

Halsey nodded. “Okay.”

Shaun grinned. “What kind of wedding do you want? A church wedding or a small garden ceremony?”
