Nathan finished signing and looked up, only to spot Ivy. His gaze stopped instantly.
She had arrived wearing a black coat, but now that she had taken it off, he could see what she had on underneath: a fitted black dress.
And more importantly, she wore black stockings.
Her legs were stunning, long and straight, and the stockings made them even more eye–catching. Paired with slim high heels, she looked incredible just standing there reading a book.
Nathan always had good taste in women. And he had to admit, his arranged–marriage wife was top tier in every category.
She had a gorgeous face, a perfect figure, talent, ambition, and immaculate taste.
The Lowe family was one of the top families in the country, and Keith had chosen his granddaughter–in–law with extreme precision. He hadn’t chosen wrong.
Martin spoke beside him. “Mr. Lowe, the meeting starts soon.”
Nathan barely glanced at him as he said, “Cancel the meeting.”
Martin froze. “Sorry, what was that?”
“Cancel it. And clear my entire schedule for today. I’m taking the day off.”
Martin was stunned. He had worked with Nathan for years and had never once seen this workaholic not work.
Nathan added, “Also, get two movie tickets.”
Suddenly, Martin understood. “Are you planning to go on a date with Mrs. Lowe?”
Nathan lifted an eyebrow. Since she had asked, he couldn’t exactly refuse.
“What kind of movie should I get? What does Mr. Lowes like?”
“Pick a romance.”
“Got it. I’ll take care of it now.”
Martin left with the documents.
Nathan stood up and walked behind Ivy. “Did you do it on purpose?”
Ivy turned toward him with the book in hand. “Did what on purpose?”
Nathan wrapped an arm around her waist and tugged her straight into his chest. “Wearing the stockings.”
Ivy’s lips lifted into a slow smile. “What, don’t you like them? I heard men love black stockings.”
She rose on her toes, leaned toward his ear, and whispered playfully, “I wore them just for you.”

Ivy was a smart, educated woman. She always knew exactly what she wanted and did everything she could to get

Nathan slid a hand along her cheek. “Do you know where we are?”
“Of course. We’re in your office. You still haven’t told me if you like them.”
Nathan lowered his head to kiss her.
But Ivy moved away with a teasing smile.
Fire lit in Nathan’s eyes. She had already gotten him riled up. The moment she slipped away, he pulled her tightly back into his arms.
“Why are you dodging?”
Ivy looked up at him. “Don’t you think you should focus on work? You spent last night in the study and left me all alone. I was stuck in an empty bedroom by myself.”
Nathan realized it then. She was doing this on purpose to get even with him.
Her eyes sparkled, full of wit and mischief. She was so alive and bright that he couldn’t look away.
He grabbed the back of her head and kissed her hard.
Ivy wouldn’t ruin the moment. She wrapped her arms around his neck and kissed him back.
They moved together from the bookshelf to the desk. Nathan pushed her gently but firmly, and she landed on the polished dark–wood surface.
The cool finish beneath her made her shiver.
Nathan’s kisses came down on her again, overwhelming and fierce.
