Chapter 238
The story follows Bradley’s perspective during a tense and dangerous night. Talia is driving skillfully and quickly, with Kayden holding onto her, as they try to evade multiple followers. Bradley directs Talia to pass by their family members—Nico, Luke, and others—so that the followers tail them instead, successfully leading the enemies away from their loved ones. Throughout the drive, Talia remains focused and determined despite the exhaustion setting in.
As they approach the Bianchi estate, the group prepares for an ambush. Talia is visibly tired but insists on staying with her family rather than hiding away. Leon orders that once they reach the estate, Talia should be taken inside and guarded, but she wants to fight alongside them. After passing a barricade set up by their men, gunfire breaks out, signaling the start of the confrontation.
Inside, Talia and the others quickly change into combat gear and arm themselves. They join the fight against the attackers, working together to defend their group. Several of their people, including Levi, Ezra, Kai, and Kayden, are wounded in the battle. Despite the injuries, none of their members have been killed. After two hours, the attackers are either captured or incapacitated, though the leader, Cillian, remains unaccounted for.
The story ends with the group regrouping at the house, tending to the wounded, and preparing to interrogate the captives. Talia is upset upon seeing the extent of the injuries among her family and allies, underscoring the heavy cost of the night’s violent events.
Bradley’s pov.
This great night took a turn for the worst. But now that we are in the middle of it, it’s no one I trust more then my girl to keep us safe.
Talia started to drive faster down the road, Kayden holding tightly around her since she don’t have a seatbelt on and I started to direct
her to our other family members that is also being followed.
We come up to the closest one to us and that’s Nico. While we made our way over here Leon had made sure all the other cars had been
added into the conversation between Talia and Leon.
“Nico, I will pass you on your right so make sure you stick to your left side, then I will take with me your followers. Talia said
emotionless.
She is truly focused right now, more then I have ever seen her.
“You got it Bambina, but please be safe.” Nico said and we all could hear the worry in his voice.
“Don’t worry I got it, I also don’t want anything to happen to my guys you know.” Talia said.
“Okay, I see Kayden’s car Bambina, I will stick to my left side.” Nico said and then not long after we past him on his right and when the
people following Nico saw Talia driving they turned around and followed us instead.
“It worked, they are on Bambina’s tail now, we will make our way home to help with the ambush.” Nico said.
“See you soon Nico.” Leon said then Nico hung up so he would not interfere with our plan.
“Bradley, who is next on our list?” Talia asked not taking her eyes of the road.
I looked on the map and saw the GPS dot that was closest to us.
“That’s Luke.” I said then started to guide her left and right till we get closer.
“Okay Luke, same procedure, I will pass you on your right, stick to your left.” Talia said.
“You got it Bambina, I see you coming up now.” Luke said and a few seconds later we pass them and then their followers followed us
instead.
‘Next is your father Liebe” I said and started to guide her again.
This is how things went for the next hour, we drove pass our people and their followers followed us instead.
Now we are on our way to the Bianchi estate and getting ready for the ambush.
Chapter 240
We have about 29 cars following us right now, and I look over at Talia, she look exhausted, it take a lot of focus to keep the speed up and drive in such a skilled manner like she have for over one and a half hour.
“Babe, are you okay?” Kayden asked worried, I guess I’m not the only one picking up on how exhausted our girl is.
“I’m fine, I just want to get this over with, get rid off those assholes then get some well needed sleep.” Talia said with a tired voice.
Kayden gently wrapped his arms around her a little tighter and kissed the top of her head.
“I don’t like this, we need get this over with soon. Our girl looks like she is about to pass out.” Carter said worried.
Leon: “Once you guys pass our gates, keep driving up to the house, and then you three get Talia inside and guard her with your life.” We
could hear this was an order and not a suggestion.
Talia: “Leon, I will not go into hiding while you are all fighting for your life’s.”
Leon: “Bambina, that wasn’t a suggestion.”
Talia: “I know, but I’m not leaving my family to fight my fights alone.”
Theo: “Bambina, you know your promise, we will do this together, but you can’t be fighting in the dress you have on right now.”
Talia: “True, I will run in and change then. We are coming up to the agreed point so be ready to intercept when we pass. ”
Leon: “We got you Bambina.”
We speeded past the agreed point and then some of our men put down a barricade and that made the ones following us come to a stop.
We kept speeding up the driveway then Talia parked Kayden’s car. We heard shooting start over by the barricade.
“Okay guys, let’s go and change and help them out before we can get some well needed sleep.” Talia said tired.
‘Or we can listen to Leon and we will keep you safe inside so you can get some sleep.” Kayden said while caressing her stomach.
“I know you just want to look after me but I can’t let our family be stuck cleaning up my past constantly.” Talia said with a heavy breath
resting a little into Kayden’s chest.
“Baby, you know we have not really been able to help you at all with your past, so let us all be a part of this. You know you don’t need to
do everything alone.” Carter said with worry but also love lace his voice.
“Let’s do this together my love’s Talia said before she let out a yawn and vent to open the door.
“Babe, you are so tired let’s head in and rest instead, the others can handle this.” Kayden said with concern.
Chapter 240
“We will sleep as soon as these guys are taken care us, I will not be able to live with myself if some of our people, family or guards get injured but it could have been prevented had we been there.” Talla said looking at us with a serious expression and we all knew she is right.
After that we hurried inside, we changed into some black cargo pants, black tank top and combat boots. Talia had the same on just a t-
shirt.
We then headed down and got some of the weapons that were laying in the dining room and we rushed out, down the road and meet up with our people where the shooting were taking place.
When we got there we saw a few of our own had been shot but none had been killed luckily.
The four of us started to shoot as well and we all worked together to take out all these people that have followed us.
I saw Levi was shot but Talia had not notice it yet, he looked over at me and made a motion of me to be quiet about it.
I saw Ezra and Kai also had been shot, Ezra in his leg and Kai in his left shoulder, Talia will not like this one bit.
We all kept shooting at the Irish and after two hours they all is either dead or injured so they have been taken captive.
But Cillian is not amongst any of them here, but hopefully we can get some information from the once we have captured.
We all started to walk back to the house and the guards took the Irish captive to a wearhouse to start the interrogation.
That’s when Talia saw Kai, Ezra and Levi shot as well as Kayden have gotten shot in the chest too as well as many of our brothers and
Talia is not happy.
The chapter closes on a note of resilience and unity, underscoring the strength found in standing together amid chaos. Talia’s unwavering determination to protect her family, despite her exhaustion and the weight of her past, highlights her courage and leadership. The shared commitment among the group to face danger collectively rather than in isolation speaks to the deep bonds that hold them together, even when the odds seem overwhelming.
Though the battle has taken its toll, leaving wounds both visible and unseen, the spirit of the family remains unbroken. The pain of seeing loved ones hurt only fuels their resolve to overcome the threat that looms over them. In this moment of quiet after the storm, there is a shared understanding that their fight is far from over, but together they will face whatever comes next, drawing strength from their love and loyalty.
The next chapter promises to delve deeper into the aftermath of the intense ambush, where the physical and emotional toll on Talia and her family becomes painfully clear. As the dust settles, the injuries sustained by key members like Kai, Ezra, Levi, and even Kayden will undoubtedly weigh heavily on Talia’s spirit, challenging her resilience and leadership. The scene is set for raw, heartfelt moments as she grapples with the consequences of the fight and the vulnerability it exposes within their tight-knit group.
Tensions are likely to rise as the interrogation of the captured foes begins, with the looming question of Cillian’s whereabouts adding a layer of suspense and urgency. The family’s unity and strength will be put to the test—not only in their battle against external threats but also in how they support one another through pain and uncertainty. Expect a blend of strategic maneuvering and emotional confrontation that will push each character to their limits, setting the stage for pivotal decisions and revelations ahead.
