I didn’t want to be entangled with Steven and Chloe any longer. For me, the best choice was to clear all debts and end our relationship.
Chloe turned to Steven, and he immediately responded, “Okay.”

After hearing that, Chloe looked even more disdainful. She said, “I thought you abandoned my son to live a luxurious life with Zane. I didn’t know you were there to be a servant.”
I calmly replied, “I don’t have to do any of the chores that Zane is talking about. But when I was with Steven, not only did I have to do all of that, but I also had to do it for free.
“Meanwhile, in Zane’s house, even the babysitter gets paid 80,000 dollars a month. Can you believe that? Her two-month salary is more than what Steven has ever given me in the past six years.”
Silenced, Chloe stared at me blankly.
Zane said, “According to the pay scale in my house and judging from Annalise’s responsibilities along with other services, Steven should pay е Annalise at least 200,000 dollars a month. That translates to about two and a half million dollars in a year and over ten million dollars in six years.”
Zane looked at Chloe and asked, “Is your son willing to give out that much money?” Chloe retorted, “You’re just talking. Would you really give Annalise that much money?”
“As you can see, he’s very generous,” I said slowly. He found me a part-time job I can do when Willow is at school It brings in about a million dollars every month. Even if I stayed with Steven, he would never give me that much money in my entire life.”
Chloe couldn’t believe somebody could be so generous to me. She asked, “Didn’t he only pay you for a month? Is he going to give you even more in the future?”
Zane said casually, “It’s only going to increase.”
