“Very well,” I thought, putting my phone away in my bag.
Otis was scheming against me, and I was also tricking Otis in my own ways. But on the surface, we had a harmonious relationship. From now on, it would be about who had the better acting skills and better strategies.
When I got back to the office, I gave Zane the coffee and said, “I especially bought this for you.”
Zane took the coffee and smiled, saying, “Thank you.”

I made a face. “It’s obvious-he wasn’t genuinely trying to reconcile. But he made it so obvious that t was hard for me to pretend not natice.
“Still, he was claiming he wanted a reconciliation! How is that possible?” Then, I mumbled to myself, “No way. But thankfully, my job is not to reconcile with him but to distract him.”
Hearing that, Zane grew interested. He asked, “Why are you distracting him?”
“So that I can carry out my plans,” I said.
Then, I glanced at Zane, who was standing in front of me. I continued to say, “But Otis is very interested in you.”
At that moment, Zane had a bad feeling. He asked, “What do you mean by that?”
I chuckled and replied, “He’s got a complete plan to help his daughter snatch you away from me.”
Then, I handed my phone to Zane so that he’d read the text messagesz Yelena sent me. After going through the messages, Zane asked confusedly, “Am I that popular?”
