The last two thugs froze, their faces going pale. They clearly hadn’t seen that coming from this skinny girl.
For a split second, they actually took her seriously, no more underestimating.
But these guys were street vets, always scrapping in alleys like this. They snapped out of it quick, shaking off the surprise and gearing up to hit back.
One of them yanked a switchblade from his pocket, the blade flashing cold as he stabbed straight at her chest.
Kayla was ready for it, though. She dodged sideways, flipping her stick in a smooth twist that knocked the knife right off course. In the same breath, she kicked out with her other leg, landing a clean side kick square in his gut.
The guy doubled over in pain, clutching his stomach, the switchblade flying from his hand into the shadows, clattering loud against the pavement.
What caught her off guard was the sneak attack from behind. One of them stuck out his foot, tripping her leg while she was focused up front.
Kayla stumbled hard, losing her balance and pitching forward a few steps before crashing to the ground. That was when the others piled on, hands everywhere, pinning her down so she couldn’t budge an inch.
“Hah, girl, you’ve toughened up a bit in the last two years, but you’re still way too green for this!” James sneered, sauntering closer. He leaned in with that nasty grin, actually sniffing at her neck like a creep.
What he smelled was pure innocence–sweet and tempting–and it lit up his eyes with this gross, triumphant leer. His gaze dropped to her neck, peeking down her collar for a better look.
Kayla was almost grown now, her figure starting to curve in all the right places, no longer that awkward kid.
Through the slight gap in her shirt, James caught a glimpse of skin that made him swallow hard, his hand already reaching to rip her clothes open.
Kayla’s eyes flashed with fury, and she spat right in his face, full force, not holding back.

With that, his rough, calloused hand shot out toward Kayla’s chest, his eyes gleaming with that sleazy, predatory hunger.
Kayla was seeing red, her eyes wide with fury as she struggled like hell. But the guys pinning her down were built like tanks. No matter how much she twisted and fought, she couldn’t break free.

In an instant, James howled in pain, beads of cold sweat breaking out on his forehead. His face twisted into something hideous from the agony, and it took him forever to even catch his breath. “You little bitch! You’re dead!” he roared, absolutely furious.
James exploded with rage, hauling back and slapping Kayla hard across the face.
The force was so brutal that Kayla’s head spun, everything blurring as it snapped to the side. She was dazed for what felt like ages, struggling to snap out of it.
