After speaking, Kayla turned like she was done with the conversation, but Marianna stepped in her way again. “Dav’s not here, so sure, say what you want.
“But you knew it was gonna pour, and you still left him out there. He’s sick because of you. Seriously, how selfish can you be? Doesn’t your conscience eat at you p>
Kayla didn’t flinch. In fact, she smiled and even nodded slightly, like she was genuinely impressed. “Wow, you really make it sound convincing. Maybe I am selfish. Not like you, so kind and thoughtful p>
