ADAM.
I was still steaming in anger and frustration when I ambled into the common room where I and my brothers stayed to talk, think and brainstorm; at crossroads when I saw them lounging on the chairs there, each left to their own thoughts.
I had bargained on here being empty so that I could stay by myself and think. With them here, that of course is canceled out. I wonder though, if it will do me good, for them to talk about anything at all, like their recent conquests or even about our father, anything to take my mind away from Dora.
Dora.
The girl was driving me crazy. One moment I am my aloof self, deciding to be away from her, the next moment, I am drawn to her in such a way that I can’t help myself, that I can’t stop myself, and I end up being an embarrassment to myself mostly.
What was it about her? I wondered, folding my arms across my chest. What was it exactly? Yes, she was very mysterious with the mask about her face, she was wonderfully endowed; I had seen my fair share of that in the dress which she had worn to the party last night, but the attraction transcended past it.
There was something else at play here. Like a knowing, like we have known in a past life, like we have a past life, a juicy yet past life. My lycan too was restless. We will have our official meeting by next week, and I have been pondering what my beast would look like. Maybe then he could give me an inkling to the reason for this desperation, for this yearning.
“Adam, are you okay?” I heard this question distinctly-I must have been too zoned in on my thoughts.
“Adam, back to earth p>
Noah definitely. I mused, retracing my thoughts back to this realm.
“What is the matter?” I asked the both who were staring at me weirdly, aware now that I was still standing by the doorstep. Thinking how I must have looked to my brothers in that manner, I shook my head, and sauntered in, finding a seat. Another Dora effect that I have to snap out of.
“We should be asking you that.” Daniel pointed out, bringing down his legs from the top of the sofa he had been lying on, and sitting upright. “You had looked so strung up, standing there like someone lost, on his way to make a certain discovery that will blow the world p>
I laughed then. Trust my brothers to add a bit of humor to every case. Good though.
“I was just thinking of the alliance.” I answered, holding my laugh in check when Noah and Daniel bursted out in laughter after glimpsing at themselves for less than a second. They knew I was lying.
“You were thinking about her right?” Noah asked, piquing his eyebrows at me.
I shrugged my shouldrs, and relaxed further ino the soft sofa.
“Yeah right, we can’t stop thinking of her too. She is fire, and she seem to be known to us, in some way…do you get p>
I nodded to Noah’s statement even though my heart had burned when he had said that they had both been thinking of Dora. Why was that? This was beginning to get serious, and I didn’t like it. A woman should never come between us- my father had made sure to drum that life hack ino our heads since we were born. Dora wouldn’t be the first. I just needed to sleep with her, and get her out of my system.
The problem is that she is too fiery, or pretends to be so. Fact remains that she didn’t want us in her bed. She hated us. Yet she has never given a reasn why.
“She is mysterious. Do you think we should set her up? Not to touch her or anything, but just to remove that mask. I have a feeling that most of our questions will be answered if we see the face behind the mask.” Daniel suggested, and even though that sounded tempting, it was too low for us; resorting to underhanded methods just to see a girl’s face. That reeks of desperation, which isn’t what we were, regarding the female populace. We made them desperate, not the other way round.
Noah must have sensed my disagreement with Daniel’s suggeston, for he asked for my own input. “You don’t seem to agree, me too. It seems…desperate. But do you have another suggestion p>
I shook my head. My mind was blank at the moment. What I could see only was Dora smiling at Diana. She had such a beautiful smile, a beautiful familiar smiile. And her voice, though of a different quality, also seemed familiar for some reason.
“So, what do we do?” Daniel asked, lifting his hands, and then letting it fall to his thighs. He must really be frustrated.
“We let her go. She wll be leaving the pack soon after all. When she is gone, we can move on with life like she hadn’t crossed our paths. If we are to cross paths again by some strange fate, I am sure we can thnk of what to do then.” I finally said, exhaling in relief when my brothers okayed the suggestion. “Great then. Please, let’s talk about something else…let’s not give a strange pussy such space and hold over our lives.” I continued, sighting the documents on the table. Picking it up, I saw that it was for the division of our entire pack and colonies. What was this about?
“I think Father wants to retire to an extent, and the only way is to divide the packs into three portions and share them between us.” Noah said, and I soughed, dropping the documents as if they were fire in my hands.
Couldn’t father allow us to induge our youthful whims for a longer while? Why saddling us with such work now? I wondered, holding a hiss, when I perceived his scent.
