Chapter 46 An Unfounded Accusation
Her worst fear had not come true.
Due to long–term malnutrition and abuse, her menstrual cycle was chaotic, often not coming for half a year at a time. The doctor had said it would be very difficult for her to even conceive,
Fortunately, a life like hers was not one she wanted to bring a child into.
After resting for a moment, she wanted to change her clothes, but when she pulled open the closet, it was completely empty. There wasn’t a single piece of clothing.
She looked around. Other than the furniture, everything that belonged to her was gone.
She pressed her lips together and dragged her heavy, weak body downstairs.
The house was deserted and very quiet, without even a single servant.
The pain in her abdomen was unbearable. She could feel the warm liquid slowly flowing down, staining a patch of her pants.
A strong sense of shame washed over her.
Left with no other choice, she went to Bianca’s room to look for a sanitary pad.
She pulled open a drawer and spotted the pads. Just as she reached for one, she noticed a yellowed piece of paper tucked underneath.
On some strange impulse, she wanted to pull it out and look.
But her fingers had just touched it, and she only had time to see a few words– Test Report–before she was forcefully shoved from behind, knocking her to the floor.

The maid shrieked the accusation, slammed the drawer shut, and grabbed her phone to complain to the master and mistress. “Tatiana is stealing the young miss’s things! You have to come back quickly p>
Tatiana hissed in pain. She wanted to explain, but the cramping in her abdomen intensified, and a cold sweat broke out all over her.
But the maid, wielding her minor authority like a sword, rudely dragged her out, cursing, “A thief, and in her own home, at that! Truly a piece of trash with no upbringing! A common thief! Just wait until the master and mistress get back, you’ll be in for it p>
Tatiana clutched her abdomen, gasping. “I just… wanted to get… a sanitary pad. I wasn’t stealing p>
“Who’s going to believe that nonsense p>
The maid dragged her outside and forcibly shoved her down by the shoulders. Her strength was astonishing, as if she were trying to break her arm.

Chester’s face was furious. “Stealing? Who did you steal from? How dare you steal p>
The maid immediately added fuel to the fire. “You don’t know! I just stepped out to get something, and when I turned back, I saw her sneaking into Miss Bianca’s room, rummaging through everything
Bianca’s heart skipped a beat. “What did she take p>
Lauren said quickly, “Bianca, hurry upstairs and see if anything is missing p>
Bianca nodded and hurried back to her room.
Almost everyone was convinced she was a thief. Not a single person noticed her blood–stained pants.
Chester paced the living room, his face full of anger, and said in a pained and furious voice, “I raised you for so many years, only to raise a thief p>
“I didn’t steal. I really didn’t. I just wanted to get… a sanitary pad p>
When Lauren heard this, her gaze dropped, and she shrieked, “Have you no shame! How can you let yourself be seen like that! It’s disgraceful p>
Lauren’s expression was full of disgust, as if she were looking at something utterly repulsive.
Tatiana tried to shrink back, trying to hide the bloodstain. But every time she moved, more blood flowed
out.
Lauren turned away and called the maid. “Get her a cloth to cover that! It’s disgraceful p>
Seeing this, Lauren wasn’t worried that something was wrong with her; she was just furious that Tatiana was being a disgrace.
For Lauren, a woman’s period was a private matter that absolutely could not be exposed, especially in front of a man.
Tatiana silently took the cloth, her heart as cold as ice.
Upstairs, Bianca pulled open the drawer, found the test report under the sanitary pads, and let out a sigh ‘of relief when she saw it was still there.
“Thank god, it wasn’t discovered p>
She had assumed the most obvious place would be the safest, but she had almost been exposed.
She opened it. It was a paternity test report. The results were written in detail:
Non – biological father.

Lauren’s voice from behind her made her jump. She frantically hid the report.

She was about to say no, but the words circled on her tongue and came out differently: “It seems… a necklace is missing p>
“What? Something really is missing p>
“Mhm… but I’m sure I just misplaced it myself. It has nothing to do with Sister.
Lauren’s tone was full of exasperation. “How could she do this! She really dared to steal! She’s gone bad! Just like her birth parents! A family of thieves! They stole you, and now she’s stealing from you p>
Lauren was furious. She didn’t question the truth of the matter at all, completely believing Bianca’s words, and stormed downstairs in a huff.
Bianca took the opportunity to grab the most expensive necklace from the jewelry box and followed her down.
In an instant, Lauren announced the theft to everyone.
The accusation landed like a match in a tinderbox. The situation exploded.
