A wave of dizziness washed over her. Mindy swayed, as if stepping on cotton. Before she could even touch Tatiana, she fell down on her own.
“You… little bitch… you just wait, I… I p>
Before she could finish, she passed out.
After making sure she was unconscious, Tatiana strenuously dragged the woman to the side of the road, to a spot where she was sure to be seen.
Then, she got in the car and drove it herself.
She was thankful she had gotten her driver’s license back then. Although she was out of practice, it was good enough to drive away.
Not long after she drove off.
A convoy of cars tracked her to this area.
The man in the lead was the captain of the Jackson family bodyguards and Jasper’s personal confidant, Evan.
He checked the area. Surveillance showed the black car had appeared right here.
They eventually found the unconscious Mindy. After forcefully waking her, they listened to her tearful and sniffling complaint about how her car had been stolen, begging them to help her.
When Evan suggested calling the police, Mindy’s eyes filled with panic. “We can’t call the police p>
“Hm p>
“I… I’m running an unlicensed taxi! If we call the police, my car will be impounded. We can’t p>
Evan had no choice but to report the matter to his boss.
When Jasper learned of it, his gaze turned frigid. “She even dared to steal a car p>
“Yes, Tatiana seems to be headed for Yalvoria p>
Yalvoria.
What was she going there for?

Evan had someone send Mindy back for the time being, while he took the majority of the men and continued the pursuit of Tatiana.
Mindy saw the convoy of luxury cars and these imposing bodyguards, and she felt intimidated. She couldn’t help but ask, “Who is that girl? What’s your relationship with her p>
Evan wasn’t good at lying. He stated it simply and clearly: “We are looking for the Madam p>
The Madam!
Isn’t that the big boss’s wife?
Heavens! Who had she almost kidnapped?
I can’t tell them! I definitely can’t tell them!
Waves of regret washed over Mindy. Her face was impossibly pale. She repeatedly refused their offer to send her back, insisting on going home herself.
Evan didn’t insist and quickly drove off in pursuit.
At this time, Tatiana was speeding down the road. When she got tired, she would rest for a short while, not daring to stop for long.
Just as she was about to reach Yalvoria’s jurisdiction, a checkpoint suddenly appeared on the road ahead, stopping all passing vehicles.
Every car had to stop for inspection.
It was too late to turn back.
She could only brace herself and drive forward.
Soon, it was her turn. Updates are released by.net
“Please step out of the car and show your driver’s license and ID p>
She didn’t have any ID on her and made an excuse: “I forgot them p>
“Then just register your information p>

“Okay p>
It was just a routine check, nothing too strict.
The staff member walked around the car, checked it once, then opened the trunk. After seeing only one suitcase, he closed it.
Her palms were sweating the entire time, terrified of being discovered.
“All set. Next p>
She let out a sigh of relief. Just as she was about to get in the car, a hand suddenly reached out from the side. “Wait, I think you look a little familiar p>
Her face instantly paled. She lowered her head. “I… just have… a common face p>
“Lift your head p>
She didn’t move.
“Quick, lift your head and let me see p>
Her heart filled with despair. Resigned to her fate, she was about to look up when a loud noise suddenly erupted.
Someone had forcefully broken through the checkpoint and was speeding away.
“Oh no! That’s a wanted criminal! Go after him p>
The scene descended into chaos. Those men couldn’t be bothered with Tatiana and directly chased after the fleeing vehicle.
She let out another sigh of relief, quickly got back in her car, and scattered away along with the other vehicles.
She drove straight on and finally reached the Yalvoria area.
She found a gas station, preparing to fill up one last time.
A smile of having survived an ordeal appeared on her face, tinged with hopeful anticipation for
the future.
Yalvoria had the best hospital for treating lung cancer.
If she went there for treatment, she would have the highest chance of survival.

I don’t want to give up.
But just as she got out of the car, a hand reached out and forcefully shut the door.
“Tatiana, we’ve been waiting for you for a long time p>

She froze. Her body instinctively wanted to run, but when she looked up, she saw a line of black–clothed bodyguards standing in front of her.
She was surrounded.
These people had calculated that she would stop for gas and were waiting to ambush her.
She closed her eyes, sniffled, and tried hard not to cry.
“Can you… let me go p>
Even though there was no hope, she couldn’t help but ask.
Evan’s tone was neither servile nor overbearing. “The boss has been looking for you for a long time. Please come back with me p>
She looked at the billboard next to her. It said Yalvoria.
She had clearly made it, she was just one step away. Why had she still failed?
She couldn’t stop the feeling of disappointment.
In the end, she was forcibly taken back by Evan.
48 hours after her escape, she was successfully captured and brought before Jasper.
In the dimly lit room, the atmosphere was oppressive.
A person was sitting on the sofa, legs crossed, a hand resting on the cushion, tapping lightly. Every tap struck right at her heart.
She shrank back in fear.
